Alrighty, so this is chapter two! Woohoo! I'm trying to keep my spelling and grammar errors to a minimum, so if you find any please leave a comment so I can go in and fix them. I'm mostly going to switch from Kaori's POV to third, but later I might throw in some other POVs. I know the beginning was a little weird, but things will start rolling really soon so please stick with me and enjoy Kaori's story! I'm dedicating this chapter to BlueNinetails because her stories are absolutely amazing and helped inspire me to write my story. Arigatou! :) ~Kayla

Third POV

Ibiki didn't know what to expect as he entered the mind of the small blonde girl laying in front of him. She looked innocent enough but he knew from experience that looks can be deceiving.

Making hand signs, Ibiki, Inozuka Yamanaka and the third hokage were transferred into the little girl's mind to check for deception or mind blocks. What they saw were horrific scenes of blood and death. No wonder the girl had blocked these memories. They were traumatizing.

Everyone in the group was horrified by what the girl had sceen and awed by the obvious strength that was displayed in her memories. What they didn't understand though was how she got to the leaf village and why she seemed much older in her memories.

Kaori POV

My father's face loomed in front of my own, streaked in my family's blood, his eyes were wild and he was yelling about how I wouldn't die. I didn't think it was my father, but I knew it wasn't a dream either; but a memory.

Third POV

"Release!"

They all left Kaori's memories surprised by what they found.

"Well she is obviously not a threat to the leaf village." Said the Yamanaka.

"Yeah, but we don't know what she's doing here. We still need to be cautious." Replied Ibiki. Meanwhile the third hokage looked thoughtfully at the young girl and thought that with her strength she would easily be able to carry on the will of fire.

"Inozuka. Ibiki. You are dismissed. Send in Kotetsu on your way out please."

"Hai, Hokage-sama." They bowed and left the room.

About thirty seconds later a knock was heard at the door and Kotetsu walked in.

"You summoned me Lord Third?"

"Yes, I want you to take this girl back to the hospital and bring her back here when she comes to. Take good care of her Kotetsu, she is one special girl."

"I will Hokage-sama."

"You are dismissed"

Kotetsu bowed and within seconds him and Kaori were both gone from the Hokage's office. Once they were gone Sarutobi let out a chuckle and smiled at what he thought this girl could do for the future of the village.

Kaori POV

It was like I was floating above a now familiar scene. I could see myself peeking around the corner and into my living room. I could see My mother lying dead on the floor and I watched the scene play out once again. I wanted to yell at myself to stay quiet and to run, but I couldn't. I could just watch as I gasp and My father whirls towards the sound. I jump awake when I hear the gun click.

I jump up in my hospital bed, panting with my eyes wide.

"What's wrong Kaori?" I can hear Kotetsu off to my left.

"I-I remember...I remember everything..." I say tears falling down my face. They're gone. They're all gone. Kaito, Kaoru, and little Akira...Mother... All because I didn't get there in time. Because I froze up. They're gone because of me. I put my face in my hands and started sobbing only stopping once the tears stopped flowing.

I felt a hand lightly rest on my back that started moving in reassuring circles. I didn't think that it would help, but I started calming down. I don't know what it was about him but Kotetsu reminded me of my older brother Kaito. Kind of awkward but still really comforting. I missed him.

"Kaori-chan?" I heard him say softly

"We need to go see the hokage really quick okay?"

I nodded wiping away the last tears and grabbing Kotetsu's hand. I see him do a hand sign and we poof away in a cloud of smoke.

I cough through the choking smoke and look around noticing we were back in the Hokage's office. Cool trick. The smoke didn't seem that intense in the anime.

"Ah, Hoshina-chan! I'm glad to see you awake. How are you doing?"

"I remember everything that happened to my family." I reply simply. Right now I just felt pissed off and confused.

"Yes, I'm sorry to hear about them. But I know your mother would be glad that you are safe, wouldn't she?" I nod, more tears building up at the thought of my mother's face. No. No tears, now is not the time.

"Hokage-sama, I would like permission to join the ninja academy and train to be a leaf shinobi."

His eyebrows rose. I think that's the last thing he expected me to say. But I wanted revenge. I don't know how I got here. But I'm going to get strong and find a way home so I can kill my Father and get revenge for my family's death.

"Are you sure? It takes a lot of hard work and dedication."

"I'm sure, I know I can do it." I was usually described as lazy and unmotivated back on earth, but I was good at sports when I tried. Besides, I had a purpose. I would become the top shinobi in the leaf.

Okay, so Kaori is going to start ninja training and meet some of her favorite characters! I know this chapter was super short, but the next one will be extra long! Anywho,
