Chapter 3

So it turns out that I have been posting a chapter almost every day, so I am going to try and keep that up for as long as I can! SO, Kaori has been transported to the Naruto world and changed into a five year old! So she is going to start the academy with all the cute little five year old characters. :) I'm not really happy with the pace of the story, but I also think it's really important to get enough backstory and info into the story, so please stay with me, It gets better! Kaori POV

"Well if you really want to become a leaf shinobi, you can start at the academy tomorrow. However, I'm going to be given reports on your progress. Kotetsu will escort you there tomorrow morning. He will also show you where you will be staying. Dismissed." The hokage gave me a kind smile and I nodded before turning to follow Kotetsu.

I looked up when I heard him mutter something like "Izumo will be pissed."

Standing alone in my new apartment in the leaf, I really didn't know what to do. Where do I go from here? I felt so sure only a few minutes ago, but all that determination is gone right now, leaving me feeling hollow and very alone.

Sighing I walk over to my new red couch and lay down. I remember how I used to wish that I didn't have parents or siblings all the time, but now that I don't I miss all the teasing, loudness and even the nagging of being in my family.

No matter how hard I try to block out or forget the memories of what I've seen, they show up every time I close my eyes.

I felt a strange tickling on my face and realized that tears were slowly falling onto the couch cushions. Wiping my eyes and grabbing a blanket I crawl back onto the couch and try to relax until a comforting darkness overtakes me.

I woke up to the sound of and obnoxious pounding at my door. Grumpily, I walk to the door and glare at the dead man walking that decided to wake me up.

"Hurry up, we need to get to the academy. I'm giving you 10 minutes." Kotetsu said looking just as pissed as I did.

"Hn." I replied, not feeling social. I closed the door and walked to my room, brushed my hair and changed into a black dress with a design of blue tiger scratches on it. I put on the typical black ninja sandals and met Kotetsu outside of my apartment. I didn't have time for breakfast, but who cares. I didn't feel like eating anyway.

Kotetsu and I didn't talk on the way to the academy, but I did see a weird blond kid with goggles who looked like he was rushing away somewhere in a hurry with a stupid grin on his face. I vaguely remember seeing a younger Naruto when I was watching the anime. I wonder if that was him.

Walking into my new classroom, I saw the sensei that I recognized as Iruka scolding the blondie that I thought was Naruto about pulling inappropriate pranks before class or something. Kotetsu coughed, getting Iruka's attention.

"Iruka, This is your new student Kaori Hoshina. Take care of her, I'm off." And with that Kotetsu disappeared in an abrupt cloud of smoke.

"Okay everyone, please welcome your new classmate Kaori Hoshina!" I looked up and saw that a lot of the girls were glaring at me and the boys had hearts in their eyes. I saw a pineapple headed kid sleeping in the corner. Shikamaru.

"Nice to meet'cha." I said looking at everyone with a bored expression.

"O-kay Hoshina-chan you can go sit in the back next to shika-SHIKAMARU WAKE UP!" said boy looked up with an irritated look on his face.

"What a drag..." He leaned on his hands, looked at me and smirked before putting his head back down.

I walked up the steps and sat down next to the lazy Nara. He was always one of my favorite characters. And I liked him even better now because he wasn't talking. I tried listening to what Iruka was teaching but I already knew all of it from watching the anime, so I decided on a nap.

Okay, so I know that this is the shortest chapters in the history of chapters, but I'm really excited for next chapter.

Next chapter we will be time skipping to where she is twelve and graduating the academy. I know you guys are just as excited about this as I am. ;)
