Kaori POV

The next morning started off an uneventful day of guarding Tazuna with Sakura while the boys trained and Kakashi rested. After leaving the bridge, Sakura and I accompanied Tazuna through the village...and that's when I got to see its true poverty.

There were kids sitting on the sides of the streets, people wearing signs, desperate for work, and everyone looked hungry. When we entered a store there wasn't anything but a few vegetables...I was pretty entertained when a guy went to go steal Sakura's purse and she kicked him into tomorrow.

I try really hard not to feel the sorrow of these places...to be unaffected by it. But I always end up with this heavy feeling when I see such deep poverty. It only got worse when a little kid asked kindly for some food from Sakura. It made me want to cry. I mean, it's not the kids fault that they were born into these circumstances and that this is the only life they've know. Seeing all of this, I felt my determination grow. This bridge will be finished.

Once we finally got home, dinner was ready and everyone was waiting for us so they could start eating. I sat down in between Sasuke and Tazuna, since I didn't want to be near Naruto when he...vomited. I didn't wanna be next to Sasuke either because I knew he was going to do it to, but he was less annoying in general than Naruto so my choices were limited. Right when we all said thank you for the meal, both boys were inhaling it like it was going to disappear any second. I sighed.

"More please!" They yelled at the same time before glaring at each other and vomiting behind them. Oh my Kami that was...gross.

"Don't keep eating if you're just going to throw it back up again!" Sakura screeched at the two boys.

"I...Have to keep eating." Muttered Sasuke.

"And I need to eat more than him...it's the only way I'll ever be able to beat him." Naruto said smiling.

"Yeah well, I could beat both of you and you don't see me throwing up. Thank you for the meal Tsunami, I'm going to go rest." I said before bowing and walking to the door. I looked back at them, everyone was watching me. Weird.

"Oh, and before I leave I just wanted to remind you of something Sasuke. Naruto. You should be focusing on the mission and on how we're going to defeat Zabuza...Not on beating each other, or eating yourselves sick. *sigh* goodnight." And with that little lecture I turned on my heel and went to my room, leaving everyone in a shocked silence, for a nice and restful sleep. I'd be up early tomorrow after all.Also I didn't want to hear the story of Kaiza...I'd end up crying in front of everyone and that is something I will never do. Ever.

~~~~~Next Morning~~~~~

I woke up early the next morning because I knew that Naruto would be asleep outside somewhere and would end up meeting Haku. I stretched and got out of bed before putting on my headband and ninja gear. I ran to the place where we were doing the tree climbing and wandered around a bit until I found a patch of herbs and a sleeping Naruto. He looked so cute and young when he was asleep. If only he were this peaceful when he were awake...that would be amazing.

I knelt down next to him and was about to shake him when a twig snapped. I looked up and saw a pretty girl...Well I knew it was a boy but he's even prettier in person.

"Hello Haku." I said with a smile. He looked at me shocked.

"How do you know who I am?" He asked in alarm.
