Chapter 8: Zabuza MooMoo

Okay so this is the crazy beginning of the Zabuza Arc. This Arc is one of my personal favorites because it shows a ton of character growth!

Kaori Pov

We were all on a boat on our way to Tazuna's home and I was trying to keep calm since I got terribly motion sick...especially in boats. At least I already knew Tazuna's sob story. The village has been taken over, their poor, yadda yadda. And also the guilt trip. I'm glad I was spared. I really wanted to say something to Sasuke about Gato meaning 'Cat' in Spanish but, A, I wasn't feeling well enough to talk, and B, I doubt Sasuke knew what Spanish was. Oh well.

Once we landed, I crawled onto the ground and started kissing it. Oh land, how I missed you. I could sort of see everyone standing around me and a hand with Blue and white arm warmers sticking in my face. I looked up and saw Sasuke smirking at me and offering his hand to help me up.

"Good to see you have a nice side of you Duckbutt." I said with a wink while grabbing his hand. Sasuke "Hn'd" then pulled me up and quickly let go of my hand. I lightly chuckled and began walking with my team and Tazuna.While we were walking to Tazuna's house, Naruto was being a paranoid ass and looking for enemy ninja everywhere. Suddenly Naruto freaked out and flung a kunai into the bushes.

"Over there!" He yelled and ran at the bushes. We uncovered it to reveal a really freaked out rabbit. I decided it was time to look cool and use my Naruto knowledge. Hehehe.

"That's a snow rabbit. But it usually has already shed it's winter coat by now, right Kakashi?" I asked him in a low whisper.

"Right. This rabbit was raised indoors away from sunlight." He replied.

"Well that means it could only be used for one purpose then." I said searching the trees.

"A replacement technique!" We said at the same time. He looked at me surprised. Well I had to show him I was better than his other students. Duh.

"Look out!" Kakashi yelled.

"Get down!" I ordered just when a huge sword came flying at us. It stuck in a tree above our heads, and when we looked up I saw a man with no shirt on and wearing cow arm warmers. Zabuza. Sick.

"Well, well. If it isn't Zabuza Momochi, rogue ninja from the Village hidden in the Mist." Kakashi said in a cool badass voice. I saw him say something to Naruto and pull up his headband, revealing his sharingan.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan, did I get that right? And is that the Princess of the Hoshina's I've heard rumors about? Your lineage is obvious when you change like that. The Leaf village has been keeping you a nice little secret hasn't it? It's such a shame, but you're gunna have to handle the old man."Well crap. I hadn't even noticed I'd changed, but sure enough when I looked behind me I saw a tiger striped cats tail, and when I touched my head I could feel furry cat ears. I also knew that when you looked at my eyes, they were mostly purple instead of mostly blue. That means that my hearing, balance and eyesight have improved along with my speed. I probably looked pretty weird right now. Hahaha.

"Oh? It looks like I get to see the sharingan in action." Zabuza said in his gravelly voice.

"Sharingan! Sharingan! You guys keep saying that, but what does it mean?!" Naruto yelled. It hurt even worse because of my heightened hearing. I'm pretty sure I just looked really disgruntled right now. I zoned out while Sasuke lectured everyone on what the Sharingan was. I mean, he could have easily just said 'A kekkei Genkai from the Uchiha clan' and be done with it. But of course he has to go on some boring ass lecture about visual prowess. I didn't really start paying attention again until I noticed mist building up around us.
