Kaori PoV

This morning all of us are supposed to report for the first test of the chunin exams. I knew that Sakura was hesitant but would end up showing up for Sasuke's sake. I was excited because I knew how all of this chunin exam business worked and I had a plan for everything...minus the Orochimaru part...but I'd work on that.

I packed some snacks and such before changing into my ninja outfit and running out the door...I was running late...Again. But I mean, hey, It's not my fault that my alarm clock just doesn't wake me up!

I joined the rest of my team and they all just glared at me.

"You're late!" Sakura yelled at me.

"Yeah, well a black cat crossed my path so I had to take the long way." I said looking at her blankly. She just glared, made a 'hmph' noise, and started walking towards the 'third' floor.

The rest of us followed her with Naruto yelling "Sakura-chan wait up!" Sasuke walked next to me and grabbed my hand. I smiled and looked at him only to find him looking at me grumpily.

"What's wrong with you this morning Duckbutt? Wake up on the wrong side of the bed?"

"No. But I couldn't sleep because of all the fangirls banging at my door and squealing, trying to give me presents." I smirked.

"Well, next time I tell you not to let your fangirls follow you, don't let them follow you and then leave them on my porch."

"Hn." Came his vocal reply, but at least he smiled a little. We were almost to the room when we saw a circle of students and heard a scuffle. I saw Rock Lee on the floor and pushed my way through just as Tenten was saying,

"Please let us through, we're supposed to be in there." I made it just in time to catch 'The guy's' punch right before it hit Tenten in the face.

"I wouldn't bother with it Tenten, this is only the second floor anyway." The guys looked surprised and the one that looked like Izumo smirked.

"We're only trying to help you guys out. Weaklings and little girls like you won't make it out a live. Go home and play with your dolls." Sasuke walked up next to me and put a hand on my shoulder .

"Nice speech, now get out of the way and let us through. And while you're at it, release your genjutsu, we can all see through it anyway." That's when everyone behind us started muttering about how we were already on the third floor and that we were crazy...apparently they missed the part about the genjutsu.

"Well, well. So you noticed the genjutsu did you?" The one that resembled Kotetsu chuckled. I gave Sasuke a small smile and everyone started agreeing with us that it was the second floor.

"Heh-heh, well aren't we the smart ones seeing through a genjustsu...Now, let's see how you deal with this!" The Kotetsu look-alike yelled before going to kick Sasuke. Sasuke moved to kick him back and I just crossed my arms knowing that Lee would stop them. Sure enough, there's Caterpillar brows, holding both their ankles.

I could see that Rock Lee was ignoring everything that Neji was saying, because he was staring at Sakura and blushing...I'm pretty sure he was just thinking that her forehead would match his eyebrows perfectly. He walked towards her and stopped right in front of her, blushing harder.
