As I walk down my hall to breakfast, I see my best friend, Ian Moore, is also in the hallway. I walk over to him and place my hands on his shoulders, "How has your life been?"
"Pretty good, pretty good." Ian answers quietly but I am not convinced.
"What's wrong?" I ask, genuinely confused as to why he would lie to me. We tell eachother everything from crushes to who we hate. I was even the first person he told he was gay. It made me feel really special.
"Nothing, nothing." I flick his cheek."Hey!"
"Stop fucking lying to me, Ian. I don't like being lied to." He gives me an apologetic expression and I can't seem to stay mad at him, no matter how hard I try. I could only ever be happy when it comes to him ever since we were kids.
"Ok, ok. It's my parents. I miss them a lot." He is very close with his parents. You never really get to see them when you live in The Clouds. His hazel eyes look sad and I can't help but hug him with my everything untill he can no longer breath and makes me let him go."Wow dude, tight hug." We laugh and continue the walk to the kitchen.
As we walk in, we say hi to everyone else that lives here; Carl, Tommy, Beatrice, Tara, my brother, and, of course, Cupcake. I rush over to Tara and leave Ian to the breakfast on the tables that Carl and Beatrice made. "Hey Tara, does Cupcake know your here? She might want to know, you being her best friend and all." I say.
"No, she doesn't. I was about to go and sit with her, so if you don't mind..." she shoves me out of her way. Wow, bitchy much? It's not anything new, really. Ever since Mr. Stephen brought her to the clouds she's been mean to me and pretty much everyone else for no real reason.
I follow her and watch as she sits down at the table next to Cora who dosen't notice because she is too busy talking-or should I say flirting-with my brother. It's never going to get less annoying. She taps Cora's shoulder.
"Oh my fucking God!" Cora yells as she turns and squeezes her best friend."Are you a fairy too?" She asks, almost mezmorized. It's funny how new everything is for her.
"Yes I am. I was in school with you for the sole purpose of watching you, making shur the Dreadwings didn't get you." She says. Crap. I didn't tell her about the Dreadwings.
"The what's?" Cora asks in confusion.
"Oh nevermind that. Nick can teach you all about them in training later. Are you done with your food?" Cora nods, "Good. Come with me." Tara says as she drags Cora up the stairs. Girls are weird...
Ian catches up to me a few seconds later with a plate full of bacon and home fries. I steal a peice of bacon and he glares at me. I just smile at him and he hits my arm. "Ow. That hurts. So. Bad." I say sarcastically and we laugh again, earning dirty looks from Tommy and Beatrice. They are the two quietest people in all of the house with Jake, and I being the loudest. Ian is pretty quiet too, just not when he's with me. We'll see were Cora falls on the spectrum. Something tells me she is going to be loud...
"Ok, I'm done. What's on today's agenda?" Ian asks with a spring in his step as he and I walk to the stairs back to his room so he can finally get dressed. He never eats in his day clothes because he is a messy eater, he already he's bacon grease staining his pajama pants.
"Cupcake and I will be training all day if you want to help. You two would like eachother." I say with a smirk. They both have the sass, though Cupcake is much more open about it than Ian is.
"Wow, ok. What ever you say. I will be there though so don't leave wile I'm changing." He most likely only said this because he doesn't really like anyone. He never has, but I've got a feeling he will like Cupcake.
