Three months later...
'Thank you.' I say, as I took my cup of coffee. It's been three months since I last saw, and talked to Christian. I'm surprised he didn't call. I guess he's busy with work.
I sit down on the chair and pulled my laptop out of my bag. I'm a writer now. I published a book I wrote many years ago and it blew up. People from all over the world love it. So, you can say I'm pretty famous now. I'm currently writing my second novel. I'm only on Chapter 3, but we're making progress. I really hope to- 'Mia?' a familiar voice comes from my left. I look up and see Christian Black, standing right in front of me. 'Christian?' I say, shocked. 'Mia.' He smiles brightly. 'I haven't seen you in so long.' I say, still shocked. I can't move. I don't want to move. I just want to sit and stare until I'm satisfied. I'm still so surprised. I was not expecting this. 'How are you?' Christian asks, walking over. I have no choice but to get up. 'I'm good. How are you?' I say, hugging Christian. 'What are you doing at St. Bernett's?' Christian asks. 'Obviously to get a coffee and work.' I chuckle awkwardly. 'And spill coffee on me again?' Christian smirks playfully. I feel my cheeks start to heat up from the embarrassment. 'I'm not going to do that.' I say softly, looking at the ground. I hear Christian chuckle. 'I know you're not. I'm just messing with you. Mind if I join you?' I don't know. Should I let him join me? I haven't seen him in so long, it feels like such a shock for him to just pop up out of nowhere. 'Yeah, sure.' I say, gesturing for him to sit down next to me. I plop myself onto the seat first and slide in to give him room to sit. 'So uh,' Christian starts. 'You're an author now, huh?' Oop, busted. 'Yeah. I am. I'm currently writing my second novel.' I say, showing him my laptop screen. He takes a good look at it and smiles. 'I read your first book.' I swivel my head so fast to look at him I thought it was gonna fly off. "What?!' I practically scream. Christian chuckles. 'Don't be embarrassed about it. It was good. I enjoyed it.' "But theres...' I trail off. 'There's, you know... sex... in that book... a lot of smut...' I say shyly. My book was basically about fantasy romance and it is definitely very steamy. Christian looks directly in my eye, a small grin on his lips with a glint of mischief in his eyes. 'It was beautifully written. The storyline was great. and definitely the smut too.' He says, still looking me in the eyes. God darn it, I'm feeling so much butterflies, and I kid you not, my face feels like it's on fire. It's so weird having someone whom you know read your book. SMUTTY book.
I was just thinking deep about what I should say as a reply, a lady behind the counter yells, 'Christian Black!' while looking around for Christian. 'Oop, gotta get my coffee first. You want anything to eat? Or do you need another coffee?' Christian asks, getting off the seat. 'No, thank you.' I smile. He gives me a small nod and says, 'I'll be right back.' I give him another smile and nod in return. I feel so content around him. Like I'm full again. It feels different. I'm not saying I wasn't happy on my own, I was happy on my own, a lot of new and exciting things happened. My sister got in touch with me after 5 years of us not talking, and she told me she was pregnant with her daughter. She isn't married yet, but she and her boyfriend James will get married after they have their child. She had said she wanted me to be her maid of honor. A lot of exciting things happened, but with Christian, I just feel full.
