Fine Line

Oh, Ella...

Ella pulled into the car park ready for their field training, she was on the phone to her nan with the volume on full. She looked around as her teammates, who were getting out of their cars or collecting their kit from their boot, turned and looked at her. She seen them all shout amoungst themselves, no doubt bantering about the volume that the midfielder spoke on the phone.

"Nan! Can I ring you later? I've just pulled up at training?" She had to interrupt her Nan who was arguing with her Alexa.

"Yes love! Enjoy! You'll have to ring me later, sort this blinking sod out" her nan replied.

"Yeah of course nan! Love you!"

"Love you, bye love" her nan hung up and Tooney let out a sigh. Not because she didn't want to speak to her Nan but more because it will be the 4th time this week she'll have to talk her Nan through resetting the Alexa... Over FaceTime..

Ella opened her door and stepped out of her car, as she opened her back door to grab her bag, she seen Alessia pull in behind her.
It had been a few weeks since she had a rather racy dream about the blonde striker. Ella had thought that it was probably just a phase, her thinking of Alessia in another light. But she and Joe hadn't really been intimate since, she hadn't felt comfortable enough with herself. The midfielder struggled with it and she can tell it's affecting her relationship with Joe too.

The brunette threw her kit bag over her shoulder, closing her car door and locking it. She made her way over to Alessias car just as the striker was getting out.

"Afternoon Less!" Tooney smiled. But her smile soon dropped when Alessia turned around. Although Alessia wore a smile, Ella could see straight through it.

"Afternoon!" Alessia replied somewhat joyfully. Ella knew that her best friend was very rarely in a bad mood but she knew her well enough to know that something had happened.

"You alright?" Ella lowered her voice as she got closer to Alessia

"Oh! Yeah!" The striker replied grabbing her own bag from her boot.

"You sure?" Ella placed her hand on Alessias arm.

"Yeah, just didn't have a great night sleep" Alessia smiled. Ella caught that the blonde didn't want to speak about it here and now but she knew she would tell Ella when she was ready. Whatever it was.

"Oh Christ!" Ella covered her eyes over dramatically which made Alessia chuckle, slightly confused by Tooneys reaction.

"Oh what now?" Alessia hit Ella's arm playfully as they started making their way towards the building.

"Listen." Ella stopped in her tracks, her eyebrows raised and hands in the air "I don't want to hear about sky boy keeping you up all night"

"Oh shut up!" Alessia scoffed, walking away from her. Ella bursting into laughter, trying to grab Alessia who walked away.

"Nah!!" Alessia giggled shrugging Ella off.

"Oh Less I were only joking!" Tooney ran up behind her, throwing her arm over her shoulder, walking on her tip toes.

"Oh I know" Alessia giggled, briefly resting her head on Ella's.

"In all seriousness though, if and when you're ready to talk about it. I'm here. Always." Ella's serious tone seemed to strike a nerve with Alessia and she took a sharp breath in before sighing. Her eyes welling up a bit but she pulled back tears. She nodded.

"Come on. Let's go have a bit of fun, yeah?" Ella rubbed Alessias shoulder as they walked into the training building.
