Alessia had barely slept. Her best friend disappeared off the face of the earth and with how she had been acting lately, it had added to Alessias worry.Ella had been more reserved recently when she was around Alessia. The striker felt that there was something behind Ella's eyes that she wasn't comfortable to share with her. She knew that the midfielder struggled with her anxiety, having been there for her during some really difficult moments. She knew Ella would always bottle her feelings up, not talk about them with anyone and try and figure them out on her own but in doing that, she actively sabotages herself. When it all comes to a head, she explodes.
Ella's radio silence gave her a knot in her stomach and she knew that the brunette was not just ignoring her but Joe too. The man who she adored she wasn't answering, she always answered him. Always.
Despite Joes messages, Alessia held off on responding to him. She wanted to speak to Ella first.Alessia paced in her kitchen. Switching the Kettle on, she started to make herself a coffee. Telling herself that Ella was fine, she's probably just crashed at a friends house whom maybe she's bumped into. Ella was a very social person, she had a massive network of friends that she kept in touch with regularly. But it didn't help Alessias anxiety.
She opened her phone looking at the messages she had already sent. She decided that at 08:15, she would try and ring Ella again.
The silence in her flat allowed the ticking of the clock that hung on the wall to ring in her ears. She sat down at her small kitchen table. Lifting her mug to her mouth, she focused on trying to calm the budding anger in her gut.
She and Ella had always told eachother when the would be heading home, it was like an unspoken rule. They always knew where eachother were, just to know they were safe. She sipped her coffee glancing up at the clock to see that the minutes were passing as if they were hours.
'For gods sake' she spat under her breath getting back to her feet again. She paused for a moment, placing her hands on her hips and looking to the ground, pondering whether to call Ella again or go out looking for her. Looking up she caught a glance of herself in the mirror. She raised her eyebrows slightly shocked at her face.
She had dark circles around her eyes, smudged makeup where she hadn't slept and her hair, well... it could've been compared to a bird nest.'Right!' She clapped her hands, exhaling as she finally had something to occupy her mind.
She headed into the bathroom, taking a shower and made her way through her skin care routine. The blonde dried her hair and pulled it up into a messy bun. Rummaging through her drawers she found a pair of joggers and a baggy t-shirt to throw on. Slipping back into her fluffy slippers she made her way back out into her open plan kitchen/living room. The first thing she done as she entered the room was look up at the clock. 08:25. She rushed to her phone, checking for any missed calls but of course there were none.
Without any hesitation she rings Tooney again. It rings once, twice, three times....
'For Christ sake Ella' Alessia shook her head, leaning on the kitchen island that was infront of her.
Four, five... the rage that was emerging in Alessias body was one she very rarely felt.
'I swear- she was interrupted as the ring stopped, and finally it wasn't followed by Tooneys voicemail.
"Hello" Alessia heard a whisper
"TOONEY!!" The blonde erupted. Slapping her hand down on the counter.
"Uh oh"
"Where the hell are you?!?!" Alessia stood bolt up right, throwing her arms in the air.
"Less I've fucked up. Like really fucked up!"
