However, as the smoke further dispersed, the true scenario unveiled itself. The Eviscerators were not there for us; they were engaging the Phoenix Syndicate. Devourer and Eliminator, with their elite assassin skills, moved swiftly, neutralizing multiple opponents with ease. The Shadow Piercer, mirroring Ji Woon's surveillance techniques, utilized the environment to his advantage, creating distractions and isolating enemies. The Serpent manipulated Syndicate members to fire upon each other while the Viper hacked into the warehouse systems, causing malfunctions and chaos.
As I watched, still bound and bleeding, I realized their intentions were clear: The Eviscerators were assisting us. But why?
Lost in a whirl of thoughts and emotions, my heart raced as I caught sight of three Syndicate members, guns aimed directly at me. I felt so vulnerable, tied to that chair, the stinging pain from my bleeding wrist making it impossible for me to focus or strategize an escape. My life seemed to hang by the frailest of threads. The imminent threat of death loomed over me, its dark shadow suffocating. Every ounce of hope I had clung seemed to be evaporating.
Just as the metallic click of the guns preparing to fire reached my ears, a blur of movement stole my attention. It was the Shadow Piercer, moving with a dancer's grace but a warrior's intent. He deftly incapacitated an opponent in his path and positioned himself as a shield in front of me, his determination clear in his gestures. I locked my gaze with his, feeling of surprise.
Then, the deafening sound of gunfire pierced the air. Time seemed to slow, every moment felt like an eternity. Miraculously, neither of us were hit. My disbelief grew as I spotted Ji Woon and the Serpent, displaying tremendous bravery, lifting a massive metallic sheet. They used it as an impromptu barrier, ensuring that the hail of bullets couldn't harm us.
I could see the strain on Ji Woon's face, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. The weight of the metal, as well as the emotional weight of the situation, was clear in his eyes. He once contemplated betrayal, but now he was risking his life for mine. The twists and turns of human emotion, loyalty, and connection were evident in that very moment.
The ties that bind us, sometimes, are forged in the most unexpected and harrowing of circumstances.

Shadow Piercer and I remained shielded by the metallic barrier, the sounds of a fierce battle raged around us. Bullets ricocheted off our shield with every passing second. My vision blurred from the pain, but I kept my focus on Ji Woon and the Serpent as they bravely protected us.Kyoto, using the distraction to his advantage, freed Suha and Juan, handing them makeshift weapons crafted from debris. Suha, even without her rifle, showcased her unparalleled combat prowess. Juan, using a jagged piece of metal, joined the fight, his usual calm demeanor replaced with fierce determination.
The clash of weapons and the sounds of battle were too intense. The pain in my wrist, combined with the chaos and adrenaline, formed an overwhelming wave of sensations. The world around me started to blur, with voices and colors blending together. Ji Woon's face, filled with worry and determination, was the last clear image I had before I succumbed to unconsciousness.

I slowly became aware of a soft surface beneath me and the distant hum of an air conditioning unit. As my senses began to return, the dull pain in my wrist became more pronounced, and I felt the tug of bandages wrapped around it. The events at the warehouse started coming back to me in flashes, causing my heart to race.As I attempted to sit up, a blur of movement caught my attention. Suha, with her usual vigor, leapt onto the bed, pinning me back down with a mixture of relief and concern in her eyes.
"Easy there, Nara!" she exclaimed. "We were worried sick!"
My gaze moved past her to see the rest of the team in the room. Juan, a fresh bandage on his forehead, was focused on setting up a new laptop. Kyoto, a few scrapes evident on his arms, was calmly organizing some equipment. And Ji Woon, his expression a mix of guilt and relief, sat near the foot of my bed.
My throat felt parched, making it difficult to speak. "What... happened?" I managed to croak out.
"We got you out of there, with a little unexpected help from the Eviscerators," Suha began, her voice filled with a mix of gratitude and suspicion.
Juan chimed in, not looking up from his work, "The Eviscerators and the Phoenix Syndicate have some unfinished business. We were just caught in the crossfire. Lucky for us, it seems."
"But where's the one, they captured?" I questioned, remembering the one we had cornered for information.
" We already got him secured "
Ji Woon, sensing the change in mood, began, "Nara, about the Phoenix Syndicate—"
Juan quickly cut him off, "Not now, Ji Woon."
I took a moment to absorb everything, my head still spinning from the rush of events. As I lay there, trying to piece together the puzzle
