Chief's office loomed ahead, the weight of the impending conversation settling heavily on my shoulders. Suha, Kyoto, Juan, and Ji Woon followed behind me, their expressions mirroring a mix of concern and anticipation.

Entering the chief's office, the atmosphere was charged with tension. The chief's stern gaze met mine, demanding answers. "Nara, we need to talk about your brother and Rein," he asserted, cutting straight to the heart of the matter.

I took a deep breath, preparing for the storm that was about to hit. "Chief, I thought it was crucial to handle the situation strategically. My brother and Rein are entangled with the Eviscerators, and I needed time to figure out the best course of action."

"Your brother is the eliminator ? How the hell Rein is involved with the Eviscerators?" The chief's voice was a mix of disbelief and anger.

I nodded solemnly, bracing for the storm that was about to follow. The chief's anger erupted like a volcano. "You guys kept this from me? And put the entire organisation at risk by withholding vital information!"

Before I could defend my actions, he continued, "We've been receiving calls from high-ranking officers, the media is relentless, and everyone wants answers. You've single-handedly thrown  into chaos!"

The gravity of the situation sunk in. The chief, now visibly agitated, declared, "High-ranking officers want to see you, the entire team. They're expecting answers, and I can't shield you guys from the consequences of this mess."

He leaned back, his gaze piercing through me. "Nara, do you realize the magnitude of this situation? Your actions have consequences, not just for you, but for everyone in your team including me. We're on the brink of a scandal."

Before I could respond, he received a call. The tension in the room thickened as he listened intently. When he hung up, his face turned even darker. "The higher-ups want an immediate meeting."

Suddenly he got up and paced back and forth, the weight of the situation pressing on him. "The media is already buzzing about the exposed Eviscerators. Our entire organization is at risk. And now, with this revelation about your brother and Rein, it's a disaster."

He fixed me with a hard stare. "Do you think the rest of them  except your team will stand by you in this mess, Nara?"
.
.
.
He looked at me sternly. "Get your team together. The high officers are waiting. And Nara, be prepared for what comes next."

As we made our way to the meeting with the higher-ups, the atmosphere was tense. The chief's anger resonated, and I could sense the scrutiny from my team members.

In the meeting room, the high-ranking officers wore expressions of disappointment , frustration and even some are happy for our failure too. The chief briefed them on the situation, emphasizing the severity of the compromised operation.

One of the officers, a stern figure with a reputation for being unyielding, directed his gaze at me. "Nara, your actions have put the entire organization at risk. Explain yourself."

I took a deep breath and recounted the events leading to the exposure of the Eviscerators and the involvement of my brother and Rein carefully. The room remained silent, the gravity of the situation sinking in.

The high-ranking officers exchanged glances, and the stern figure spoke again. "This is a failure on multiple levels. The media is in a frenzy. We cannot afford such lapses."

Our chief Han  interjected, "Sir, I take full responsibility for the oversight. We will work on this."

The stern officer's gaze returned to me. "Nara, your team especially you will face an internal investigation for your failure to report crucial information. The consequences will be determined after a thorough review."

As the meeting concluded, the chief pulled me aside. "Nara, you need to understand the gravity of this situation. You need to prepare for the fallout."

The chief's words echoed in my mind as we left the meeting room. The weight of the impending consequences and the uncertainty of my team's support hung heavily over me.

As we exited the meeting room, Juan's expression was grave. "Rein is in deep trouble. The higher-ups won't take this lightly."

I met Juan's eyes, acknowledging the severity of the situation. Ji Woon chimed in, "We should help in any way we can. "

Juan's words hung in the air, a stark reminder of the  situation Rein is in.I hesitated with the phone in hand, realizing the implications of making a  call. Sensing that , Ji Woon's expression hardened, "Calling Rein now could jeopardize everything. We need a plan, not impulsive actions."

Kyoto nodded in agreement, "He's right. We can't act recklessly. We have to think this through."

Juan, his eyes narrowing, warned, "They are going to be in great trouble especially Rein, and if we don't handle this smartly, we might all end up in a mess."
.
.
.
As we huddled together, formulating a plan, Suha's concern persisted. "But what about your brother and Rein? Will they be okay?"

I sighed, uncertainty clouding my thoughts. "I don't know. We need to  find a way to resolve this mess without making it worse for them."

Suddenly, I decided to call Rein, thinking it might be our only chance to get ahead of the situation. But before I could dial, Juan intervened, a stern expression on his face. "What the hell are you doing, Nara? We're under their supervision. Making that call could make things worse."

I paused, realizing Juan's point about being under supervision. I lowered the phone slowly, a sense of urgency lingering in the air. Juan's eyes narrowed as he emphasized, "Nara, making a call right now could jeopardize everything. We need to tread carefully."

Ji Woon chimed in, "If Rein is in as much trouble as it seems, contacting him directly might not be the wisest move. We should let the internal investigation unfold."

Kyoto added, "They have resources and protocols for situations like this. Trying to intervene independently could complicate matters further."

Juan, his expression serious, stated, "Rein might be in deeper trouble than you realize. We can't predict how this will play out, and any impulsive actions could make things worse."

As we continued discussing the situation, I couldn't shake the worry for Ju yan and Rein. The consequences of their involvement with the Eviscerators were becoming more apparent, and the potential fallout was daunting.

Minutes passed like hours, and uncertainty gnawed at us. Finally, the chief returned, accompanied by a higher-ranking officer we hadn't seen before. His presence sent a shiver down our spines.

The chief gestured for us to sit, and the atmosphere became even more stifling. The higher-ranking officer addressed us with a piercing gaze. "I've been briefed on the situation. This is a critical moment for the organization, and we need to address it decisively."

He turned to me. "Nara, your involvement in this case is suspended pending the internal investigation. We cannot risk any further compromise."

My heart sank, and I glanced at my team. Juan's prediction about Rein being in great trouble seemed to be unfolding faster than we anticipated.

The higher-ranking officer continued, "We've assigned a specialized team to handle the fallout of the exposed Eviscerators. This is a matter of national security, and we won't tolerate any interference."

I felt a mix of frustration and helplessness. "Sir, I understand the gravity of the situation, but I know Rein better than anyone. I can help in resolving this without causing further damage."

The chief intervened, "Nara,we need to follow protocol. Your involvement in this case is on hold until the investigation is complete."

As the higher-ranking officer left, the chief addressed us with a stern expression. "This is a setback, but we need to cooperate fully. The reputation of the organization is at stake."

He looked directly at me. "Nara, I understand your concern, but we must let the investigation unfold. The team will continue to play a role, but it'll be under strict supervision."

As they left, a heavy silence enveloped us. Juan's ominous prediction had come true, and the reality of Rein's impending trouble loomed over us. The chief's words echoed in my mind - the organization was under scrutiny, and the fallout was only beginning.
