Chapter 146: Drinking with A 'Bad' Friend (Last Part)

"Excuse me, are you two alone?~"

"Can we join you two?"

"Hm?'

After talking with the two of them for a while, I heard a sweet, spoiled voice with a lisp and another crisp and strong-willed voice coming from behind me so I turned my back around.

"Whoa~ You look cool from behind but when I look at you from the front like this, you look even cooler~ You don't have a lover or anything like that, right?~"

"Truly... Do you mind if we sit next to you? Or would you rather join us in a box seat instead?"

The one with a lisp and sweet sounding voice was a rabbit beastman with droopy eyes and pink curly hair. She must be quite proud of her breast since she kept on emphasizing her cleavage between my arm as she complimented me.

To think she thought Lucas is my lover... Give me a break...

The strong-willed sounding one was a human. Her long blue hair was braided neatly. We hadn't said anything in return yet but it seemed the two of them had already decided that we should go drink with them and suggested that we move to a different location. Both of them were pretty good looking and were quite stylish so it must have never occurred to their mind that we'd refuse their offer.

Certainly if this was the old me, I'd not say no to them and just went along with them.... But now that I had Ren, I wasn't interested in the two of them in the slightest.

"Ah... First thing first, this guy is not my lover."

"Sorry about it. Today we're celebrating his engagement. He's so madly in love with his fiancé that he won't stop singing praise about him. So maybe I'll take up on your offer if the chance comes another time?"

I'd just straight up say no but Lucas might've wanted to drink together with them so I was pondering what I should say when Lucas slung his arm around my shoulder and refused their offer in my stead.

"Oh? You're engaged?~ Congratulations~ Then will you let us join you guys in celebrating?~"

"Right, right. The more the merrier, right?"

.....They're pretty persistent. Even though we've already refused their offer. Well even if I'm already engaged or even married, it's still possible to have another lover so I guess being engaged is a pretty weak excuse.

"I don't want to. I don't know about this guy but as for me, I'm not attracted in the slightest with anyone else but my fiancé so don't bother trying to get close to me. It's useless."

I said that because Lucas might be interested. I was really no longer attracted to anyone else but Ren.

"Ah, I'm genuinely in the mood to celebrate my close friend's engagement so I'm good for today."

Lucas easily declined them too. He was a popular guy too so he was not starving for a girl's attention. Refusing them flat out like this should be enough to get them off our way.

"........ It should be fine for you to drink with us despite having an ugly fiancé! Don't come crying back to me if you regret it later!"

"Haah... We will pull back for today then. As for the white haired wolf-san over there, I'll see you later."

The rabbit's sweet voice from earlier was gone, replaced by her irritated voice as she spit out crude words while she walked away. On the other hand, the blue haired human only sighed like it couldn't be helped and then she left after saying one last greeting to Lucas.
