The drive after the race was quiet, everyone in the car tired from the long wait out of the parking lot. Back with Max who sounded angry that I ditched them, I stared outside the window my eyes getting sleepy. Before I could, we thankfully arrived with Max pulling up in front of the house.
I walked in with Max, the last ones to come in then we both went out way to the couch. Flopping with a groan on the couch, the plush material creating a soft landing. Max sat beside me while I was sprawled out. My eyes scrolling through my phone, I listened to their conversation, voicing an opinion every now and then.
"How was your F1 experience in the garage?", Max looked down at me. I grinned at the memories. "Oh my god, it was better than the view in the grandstand", earning a smirk from Max, "The adrenaline rush in there was so intense". Now sat up, Max was amused watching me dramatically share my experience as if the rest of them never had it too. Ria, Aarav and Steve soon enough joined us, equally tired and frustrated from the traffic jammed.
After a few hours, I went to my room with Ria which we shared together. I got in the shower first to freshen up, skipping my hair. While I got ready after the shower, it was Ria's turn. The toilet counter was a mess, our makeup everywhere while we got ready. Spraying my setting spray real good, I definitely didn't want my makeup to melt later. Getting dressed in a black cutout short dress, I put my earrings on and then my bright pink heels. I probably would regret that.
As usual, all of the boys were ready waiting for us in the living room. I was the first to go down, leaving Ria to finish up. There were a series of "oohs" and "aahs" when I came in, my smile bright. Stopping at the sight of the curly haired boy, I was surprised he was already here. He wore a black button up shirt and white jeans, his buttons unbutton the first three showing his chest. "Oh! You're here", I said to Lando. He shrugged, finishing a small bag of mixed nuts. Ria finally came in, the "oohs" and "aahs" played again.
"Sorry guys, only one of you can follow", Lando smirked gesturing to his orange McLaren car. Everyone fought for the seat while I laughed at the chaos. "Audrie", I looked at Lando, "you win". While everyone whined, I was confused for being the chosen one.
"Woah wait....Audrie I thought you were coming with me", Max stopped. I look between him and Lando, somehow there were tension in the air. Ria, Steve, Aarav and Niran looked at them too, confused. Steve piped up, bursting the awkwardness mentioning he'll follow Lando. Before anyone could protest again, Steve pushed Lando to the direction of his car while Max rolled his eyes.
"What just happened?", I whispered to Ria before climbing into the passenger seat. Thankfully the ride to the night club was filled with the four of us belting to Sia but Max drove with furrowed eyes. I gestured to the three at the back, Aarav shrugging. We knew Max has a bit of a temper but at this moment, we didn't know why.
