Warming up in my coat that Lando grabbed for me, I was pacing in front of the house while he patiently waits for me to speak up.
"What did she mean about Luisa?", I asked. He seems to be off guard by the question. "I thought you were happy with her?"
"I was but...we both knew the relationship couldn't go anywhere. She always knew about my feelings towards you." My mouth opened in shock.
"Your feelings towards me?", he nodded. "Lando, you-you liked me?"
He nodded again, my mind unsure whether to be shocked more or to be happy. "And she knew? How?"
"I don't know...she guessed it. Women's intuition", he said jokingly which made my anger dissipate. I walked towards him, Lando smiling until I smacked his arm again. He blurted out an "oow".
"You're such an idiot! you let her go!? she was so perfect for you!", I shouted, "you left her for some petty crush!?"
Nearly doubling in laughter seeing Lando's confused face, his eyebrows furrowed trying to find a right answer. "You're angry about that? About me losing a perfect girl?"
Hearing how it sounded made me chuckle, myself confused too. Lando lets go holding the arm I just hit, his face amused. "Audrie, you're also the perfect girl and...I'm too blind to not see you earlier."
My heart quickens when he was inches from me. He grabs my waist pulling me closer and leaned in to kiss me. Snowflakes began to fall around us, my initial shock gave away as I responded the kiss with equal intensity. Pulling away from the kiss, we were now chuckling over the odd argument we had. I guessed I panicked when I embarrassingly found out about my crush on him wasn't one sided.
Hearing the front door open, by now snow collected on us and our noses started to redden from the coldness. "Come in before you catch hypothermia!", Oscar shouted. Lando grabbed my hand and pulled me with him back inside.
The day went on with more embarrassment, his family sharing the times Lando ranted on and on about me to the girls and yet ignore their advices. "I'm a boy!", he defended.
"Oh, not a man?", I teased and earned a glare from him. The room filled with laughter as he tickled me almost to death and pulled me to sit with him. Cuddled up on the couch, he had his arm around me while we continued spending the time with sharing stories. I could feel his body reverberated as he laughed. The awkwardness from the earlier confession practically forgotten, the room now filled with joy and warmth. Even though the last thing I wanted Lando to somewhat confess, I truly felt happy we finally did.
