A scream rung, Lando's sister - Cisca - jumping into the water from the yacht. I watch from above, her resurfacing with a happy smile. "Why did I agree to this?", I thought to myself. Everyone in the water cheered for me to jump, my heart beating fast. Without a second thought, I jumped and let out a scream. The splash echoed, and moments later, I float up from the crystal clear waters.

Wiping my face from the saltiness of the sea, I was heavily breathing, the adrenaline pumping from the jump. Swimming and splashing with Cisca, Lando and Max zipped in a jet ski in the background. Tired from the swim, I pulled myself up at the back of the boat. Lando's parents were watching from the deck, chuckling as we all played in the waters. Wrapping myself up in a towel, I sat with Savannah and Mila, Lando's sister in law and niece, at the steps. Her little fingers wrapped around mine.

Hearing my name called, we look up to see Lando in his jet ski near the boat. "Audrie!", he said again, beckoning for me to go with him. He laughed at my excitement, hurriedly zipping up the safety jacket before climbing on the jet ski.

Before I could brace myself, Lando throttled making my arms hug his body really tight. The wind tousled my hair and the water sprayed onto my face as we sped off into the sea with Max following behind. Lando skillfully maneuvered the jet ski, and I couldn't help but laugh and shout in excitement.

Lando couldn't ignore the infectious joy on my face. He glanced back at me, our eyes meeting for a fleeting moment, a hint of a smile on his lips. In the rush of the moment, we both felt a connection, a spark of something.

As the sun began to dip below the horizon, we returned back to the boat. Our faces were flushed with excitement, and our hearts raced not just from the adrenaline but from an unspoken connection that had grown stronger with every wave we conquered. My legs were wobbly from the excitement, and Lando's gaze never left as he helped me onto the boat. The warm, golden hues of the twilight bathed the scene in a soft, romantic glow.

Wrapping myself in my towel, I waited for Lando and Max. They were laughing at how fun it was but as the day started to darken, I could see Lando stealing glances ever so often between his conversation with Max. The three of us went up to the deck where everyone is, sharing the experience with them all.

As the boat pulled their anchors up, we knew it was time to go back to shore. Going down to where the bathroom was, I took a quick shower and got changed out of my wet clothes. Quickly slipping into a linen maxi dress, I put my still wet hair into a tight bun, the rocking boat making me lose my balance.

Slowly opening the bathroom door, the boat tipped a bit making me fall forward only to fall onto a freshly showered Lando. My eyes blinked, our faces inches from each other and both of his hands holding my waist. We stayed like that for a bit too long, pushing ourselves off when we heard footsteps from above.

My cheeks were probably a tinge of bright red as we straightened ourselves. "Sorry", I said barely a whisper. Lando also blushing. We went up the spiral stairs with me leading in front. Gasping, the boat swayed again. Just as I was about to lose my footing, Lando's quick reflexes kicked in. He reached out and caught me in his arms, steadying me.

Our eyes locked again in that moment of intimacy. My heart raced, and I could feel Lando's strong arms holding my body securely. It was a fleeting but electrifying instant that made our hidden feelings even more apparent.

Lando's voice was low and filled with concern as he asked, "Are you okay, Audrie?"

My heart pounding, managed a soft but breathless reply, "Yes, thank you."

The yacht settled into a smooth rhythm again, but the atmosphere had shifted. Finally up at the deck just in time as the boat slowly moved in to the dock. Avoiding Lando's eyes, I bit my lips as my cheeks still burned from the unexpected moment of closeness leaving a lingering feeling.
