The night at the club continued with more drinks and more dancing. Mia and Chloe seemed to have acquainted themselves with Lando's friends, a hint of flirting from the two blondes.
"You look amazing!", Lando shouted to me.
I blushed at his compliment, tucking my hair behind my ear. "Thank you...", I paused, "...baby." Lando noticed my voice quieting when I called him baby.
"Don't worry, they know", he reassured me. Relief washed over me, this hidden relationship starting to get harder and harder. Luckily this booth's seat was a little bit covered from the other section, unless someone is standing really close to the barrier. Lando couldn't help but had his arm around my body, his hand placed on the side of my hip as he made sure I stayed close to him. If this wasn't obvious enough then I don't know what is.
Nervous every time people passed by or the waitress came with the drinks, I kept jumping or pretending to get something from the table so that Lando's arm wasn't too obvious. This was killing me. "Mia. Chloe. Let's go dance", I stood up. They whined at me but scurried when my eyes widen in desperation. Sheepishly smiling to Lando, we scoot out of the booth and onto the dance floor.
I breathed out, bunching up my hair since I didn't notice my hair was sticking at the back of my neck with sweat. Fanning myself, I had my back to Lando while the three of us squeezed in the middle of the crowd, dancing it out.
"I don't understand why you're not relaxed about this", Mia shouted while jumping up and down as I glared at her.
"Yeah! You two look so cute together!", Chloe cooed. Letting my hair down, I tried to ignore them while my mind went haywire. The only thing I could think of doing was just rocking to the music. Feeing someone way too close behind me, I turned my face to see a random guy sliding his hands on me.
"Get off!", I growled and pushed him hard. He thought it was me teasing him so he got closer to me again, his hands grabbing my waist against his hips. Gasping to the guy getting punched in the face, I was stunned to see the guy groaning in pain on the floor. Mia and Chloe hugged me, Chloe cussing at the guy.
"Are you okay Audrie?", finally noticing one of Lando's friend. He shook his fist from the punch. Somehow I was relieved to see it wasn't Lando himself. Looking up to our booth, Lando was looking with crossed arms and an infuriated gaze. By now everyone on the dance floor was watching us. My friends dragged me away, Chloe's arm on my shoulder while Mia's arm were around my body.
"What a twat!", Chloe angered making me and Mia laugh. She was always the tough one among us. While we waited for the uber to come, Chloe was loudly explaining how annoyed she was by the guy. "He's not even cute!"
The uber came, stopping at us. "You guys should go back in", I said to them. They were have so much fun and I didn't want to ruin their party. After arguing back and forth, thankfully they gave in. "Call us once you're back home, okay?", Mia demanded. I nodded my head and climbed into the car, waving to them goodbye. The car drove away, me letting myself sink into the seat after a rough night.
