Hello all! So I've decided that because father's day is coming up soon I'm going to use one of the Naruto fathers for my article! I've gone through a large list of possible candidates before finally settled on Might Duy, the father of Might Guy! This character hasn't really been seen very much throughout the show but he is such an amazing father figure that I couldn't resist. Now, with that out of the way, let's get down to business!

Physical features: Might Duy was a tall and well-built man with high cheek-bones, a somewhat bulbous nose, dark hair and thick eyebrows. His hair was cut in a bowl style that was combed to his right and also sported a bristling moustache with a small goatee and stubble which made up the rest of his beard.

If you are going to cosplay as might Duy, I would suggest making sure that you have the right body type for him. You don't necessarily need to have the large mussels or be really fit, but I would recommend being pretty tall at least. His hair is black and cut into a bowl cut, before being brushed to the right. I would get a black wig with short hair and use gel or hair spray to keep it brushed to the side. For his mustache, eyebrows and goatee I would use pieces of black felt, cut into rectangles, glued or tapped onto your face. I would also strongly recommend using tape that isn't very sticky so it won't hurt very much when it's take it off. For a bit extra, you can use a black pen, sharpie, or washable marker to create the stubble lines going from his goatee and down his jaw line.

Attire: Might Duy normally wears a green jumpsuit, orange striped leg warmers, and a yellow scarf around his neck.

This attire is pretty simple to put together, maybe not incredibly attractive to most but still incredibly easy to create. For his green jumpsuit you can easily go out and buy a green one or, if you're feeling confident, you can use a tighter fitting green onesie as a substitute. His orange leg warmers can also be bought pretty easily at the store, but if you're feeling artistic, you can also go to a fabric store and buy some thick orange fabric and sew yourself your very own pair of orange leg warmers. The yellow scarf can be just a simple yellow scarf or a yellow bandana.

Personality: As I've said before, in order to cosplay properly you need to know how to act like the person your cosplaying as. Duy was a proud and upbeat man. Like his son, he was overzealous, regularly using a "nice guy" pose, thanking people who were otherwise chiding him for his behavior, or low rank. He believed strongly that one must have confidence in themselves in order to achieve anything. He also believed that one's true youth only ends when one turns their back on their beliefs and joy. Duy had a very strong relationship to his son, constantly pushing Guy to be his best and lifting his spirits when upset. If you can't really meet those requirements for Duy's personality, I wouldn't recommend cosplaying as him.

Extra:

• Duy shared the same nickname as Kosuke Maruboshi. They are each known as the "Eternal Genin"

• Duy's full name is a pun on the phrase, "Might Die", which is tragically ironic and foreshadowing considering he actually ends up dying after opening all Eight Gates.

• Duy was most likely made to honor Kishimoto's father, who passed away around the time when the only chapter featuring Duy was released. (That was actually the biggest reason why I chose to use Duy for my article)

I hope that you all enjoyed reading this, and I would also like it if you would comment on what character you want me to no next! Have a great father's day!

P.s. don't forget to do your homework on the person you're going to cosplay as!
