London's streets were full of people. As the fall arrived, it gave everything a touch of golden brightness. Wizards, witches or muggles, it doesn't matter, lot's of them were heading to work in the morning. The bus stops had crowds in waiting. As a bus got to it's stop another handful of peolpe walked off. A man in black T-shirt and black trousers took off from the vehicle and walked across the street, through the crowd to an empty building. Nobody seemed to care about it, only a few people looked at it's dusty windows. It only had a mannerquin behind the thick glass wall. Severus Snape looked around and waited for every muggle to go further away, then turned back to look at the doll and quietly started to talk.
- Good afternoon, I'm here to take Emilla Prince.
The mannerquinn blinked and waved to invite him in. He walked through the glass and walked up to the reception. There were a lot of people again. A boy was sitting with his father on a couch. The two of them looked terrified, but they didn't have any visible problem. Both of them had hardly any neck and weren't thin in any kind of way. While the man had dark brown hair and mustache the boy had blond hair. A woman - probably the mother was standing next to them, looking at the healers with discussed face. She was tall and thing and had three times longer neck then usually anybody. Her hair was the same shocking blonde just like the boy. She reminded him of someone, but he couldn't really put it anywhere in his memories. The reception had few wizards and witches acting strange. An older witch had a book in her hands and didn't look up from it. Her husband pulled her every time the line moved closer to the receptionist. Another man was sneezing fire every now and then. He had burns on his face and on his left arm. The receptionist had to step back before he burnt down her eyes. After looking around Severus stopped a few steps away from the family. He wasn't here to go with the people in front of him finally. He nodded to greet them.
- Sorry, is this seat taken? - he asked the man on the couch, pointing at the chair next to it after a few seconds. The man shook his head and gestured to let him sit down.
- Please be seated - he said it very quietly. He wasn't as terrified as before he asked. He looked way more relaxed. The man even dared to sit a few centimeters closer, letting both his son, and himself breath. Snape felt his eyes on him and as he looked up he was right. The man was looking him up and down. Then he even dared to smile a bit. Snape gave him a nod.
- Can I ask why are you here? - he didn't talk that quietly this time. His wife sat behind him, next to the boy. Snape picked up a newspaper from the coffetable and sighed.
- My daughter was seriously sick. She is being treated here - he shortly said and opened the newspaper. The man was just more curious.
- I'm very sorry - he said but before he could say anything else the woman spoke up.
- Is that sickness is infectious? - she asked and the boy and the man both looked horrified again. The professor looked at the woman and shook his head. He still couldn't figure it out why was she so familiar to him.
- Well, that's a relief! - her husband said and laughed a bit. - What happened to her?
- I don't think you have heard anything about that sickness - a wizard walked up to the group. He had long silver hair and beard and wore dark blue robes. The family went back to being horrified. They looked at the man as if he was a serial killer.
- Professor Dumbledore! - he was surprised by the principal's presence - I wasn't expecting for you to turn up here. - Snape stood up and shook the principals right.
- I have to take care of a few things- he pointed at the family next to them in a way, just Snape saw it. He talked in an easy tone, like they were in a park talking about the weather. He didn't look at them, but he still saw the woman's eyes on them. The potion professor looked at him questioningly. He just showed him to sit down. He walked behind him as he sat down next to the man and his son.
- Mr. Dursley I believe - he started - We haven't met before, but I wrote some letters to you. - He offered his right but the so called Mr. Dursley didn't reciprocate the gesture.
The woman and the boy sat behind the man as if Mr. Dursley was a shield.
- Petunia, long time no see! - the principal nodded after the failed handshake. Despite the coldness he got from the family he still looked very happy.
- Evans! - Snape blurted it out a bit louder than a whisper much to the group's surprise. Mr. Dursley looked at him and his wife as if he was seeing a dramatic plot twist in a story. The woman looked at him way more shocked and scared - I'm sorry, I was just thinking about where could I have possibly seen you, and it just popped into my mind now. - he quickly explained.
- And where do you know me exactly? - Petunia asked in a shaky voice. Before the professor could say anything somebody called out his name.
- Severus Snape!
The professor looked up as a healer walked up to him. The woman on the couch looked at him with a more terrified look then before and let out a sqeek.
- Yes? - he turned to the healer and Dumbledore did the same. The principal's usual smile disappeared in a second. The healer greeted him and asked them to sit down. The Dursley family sat closer to the other edge of the couch.
- I have to talk to you both in this case - the healer started and sighed - to Mr. Severus Snape as guardian and professor and to Mr. Dumbledore as principal.
- What do you need from the school? - the man asked in a serious tone. His blue eyes were cold and serious rather then bright and warm like a few seconds ago.
- I have to check her at least once a week - the healer said searching in her map - then we would need the help of Madam Pomfrey in the hospital wing - she gave a paper to the principal - she would have to do the regular check-ups every day and have those in a map, in this form - as she said Dumbledore nodded. Snape looked at the paper closely. He saw a lot of versions of this paper. Most of those forms second versions are sitting in a box at his living room, mostly saying anything but good.
- And as the Potion professor, we need your help to brew the potions she needs. The St. Mungo will send everything needed, and - she pulled out another paper and gave it to Severus - this is the recipe. She has to drink it everyday, until I say otherwise. - after showing it she just looked up and listed a few more things. She'll have to drink Euforia-essence twice a week and we used some Felix felicis, there is a chance that we will use it again. Healer William Barrel will come with the girl in a second.
- Give me one more second please, Healer Lashey. - Dumbledore rasied his right as Isla wanted to go away. The healer sat back. - In the forms, please change the young witches name to Evelynn. She was adopted and she got this name afrer adoption. - he said it quickly. Snape nodded in agreement. Isla nodded and asured them, they will change the names. Mrs. Dursley looked shocked and screamed a bit as a man and a young girl walked up to the group. Snape looked at the arriving people and felt both happy and concerned. The little girl had long red hair pulled back with a hairband. Her eyes were dark brown. She looked pale. Her arms had a few reddish point on them.
- Mr. Snape, Mr. Dumbledore! - the man greeted the wizards - Miss Prince is ready to go home. I believe you already know everything.
- Thank you, I hope so, sir - Severus said and looked down at the girl. She looked around between the group.
- Hello... - she almost whispered. Snape put his hand on her forehead to check if she has fever.
- What's the matter, pygmy puff? - he looked at her. She just shrugged her shoulders. Mrs. Dursley acted really strange. Emilla saw that and looked at her. She smiled. Snape looked at the woman then back to the girl. He had a questioning expression on.
- She looks like mom a bit - she said. Snape looked back. He didn't see it. As the woman watched Snape and the girl she looked as if she have been just seen a ghost. Isla came back with a bottle of shiny yellow potion. The girl was very tired and wasn't really herself. As Snape wanted to walk out of the hospital Will shouted after him.
- Before you go! The second dose for the week - the healer smiled. He nodded as he put the bottle away. Then the man picked Emilla up and stood up.
- And one more thing, - Isla came back - I would like to talk about a few things so after taking Ms. Prince to her dormitory, please come back for a quick meeting - she was serious, and Snape knew what it was about. He nodded and assured her that he will be back soon. Then turned to the others to say goodbye. After that he nodded to the man and the boy behind Dumbledore - Tuney - he said quickly and turned around. They walked out the street leaving the Dursleys in terror.
