Workaholic - Lucas

"Lucas! Lucas!" Yuqi exclaimed.

Lucas got off his phone to see Yuqi coming her way towards him. She was smiling really widely and chuckling too. 

"The enevlope is here!" She replied. 

Lucas got off from his seat and was super excited for her. Yuqi has applied for her dream job at her favorite office. Even though office work is not everyone's favoueite cup of tea, there's something about it that just really suits her. 

"Oh my god.... open it! I can't wait to see the result!" He replied. 

She opened it and she read it to see that she has been accepted. She can't believe it as she hugged him tight. He hugged her tight, no words are needed on how much that she waited for this moment. 

It was like a dream come true for her. 

Now the first couple weeks of the job, it's been like an easy breeze. The boss was friendly, the colleuges are also friendly and everything is like..... her favourite place to be. 

But then as time progressed on, it's starting to become even more diffcult. The work is becoming more and more heavy, but she's not wearing off that easily. Yuqi is a strong independent person and she can get them all done if she wanted to. 

And as for Lucas, he can see that this new job for her is becoming a hazard in this relationship. 

"Hey, babe. Some of the boys and I are going down to the beach, wanna come?" He asked. 

"Huh? Oh no, I've already got so muich work to do." She replied. 

"Oh okay....." He said. 

With her arms pressed to the wall, the two were kissing rather passionetly. That was until her phone has started buzzing. She pushed him off gently and went to her phone. 

Hello? 

Yuqi, do you think you can push the meeting next week to this week? We've already got too much next week already. 

Um..... sure. Have you done your presentation? 

No, I keep having so much trouble with it.

Okay..... I'll head over right and and give you some pointers.
