The electric buzz of anticipation thrummed through the stadium. Hyunjin, usually through the stadium. Hyunjin, usually composed and focused backstage, couldn't help but bounce one the balls of his feet. Tonight was their first concert in his hometown of Reading, and the energy from the crowd was infectious.
As the intro for "Maniac" started, a wave of cheers washed over them. Hyunjin launched into his rap verse, his gaze scanning the enthusastic faces. Then, in the sea of flowing lightsticks, his eyes met Minju's.
She stood out not just because of her vibrant hair. The same outside of blue of his own, but because of the ay she sang along, every word, every rap verse. Her smile was radiant, ligfhting up her entire face, and an inexplicable warmth bloomed in Hyunjin's chest.
He stole glances at her thoughout the concert, his performance fueled by a newfound energy. His poured his emtoions into his dance moves, his rap verses, willing her to feel the intesity he felt/
During the ment, when they had a chance to interact with the audience. Hyunjin couldn't take his eyes off her. When his gaze met hers, she gave him a shy wave, and a blush crept up his neck. He fumbled over his words, momentarily flustered.
Later, as they performed their slower ballad, "Your Eyes," Hyunjin sang directly to her, his voice softer, more vulnerable. The emotion on his eyes mirrored the lyrics, and Minju seemed to understand/ Their eyes locked for a moment, a silent conversation passing between them.
After the concert, the adreanline slowly sunsided, leaving a pleasant exhaustion in its wake. Hyunjin showered and changed, the blue hair sye staining the towel of a faint cerulean. He couldn't shake the memory of Minju's smile, the way she'd connected with him through the music.
He scrolled through his phone mindlessly, hoping for some interaction, a mesaage, anything. Then, a notification popped up. It was an Instagram message from an unknown account. He clicked on it, his heart skipping a beat as he saw the username: bluemoon_minju.
The msaage was simple: "Thank you for an amazing concert. Your performance was incredible."
Hyunjin's smile widened. He typed a reply, his fingers flying across the screen. It was unforrgettable. Especially when I saw you singing along."
A flurry of messages followed, and they chatted for hours, talking about the concert, their favourite songs, and their dreams. Hyunjin learned that Minju was a trainee at a local trainee at a local dance academy, her passion for music mirroring his own.
Over the next few weeks, their online conversations blossomed into late-night phone calls. They shared their hopes, fears, and dreams, a deep connection forming despire the miles, seperating them. They spoke about their love for music, their desire ro create, and their admiraion for each other's talents.
