Hyunjin was nervous. It wasn't like him to be nervous. As the de facto visual and dancer of Stray Kids, he was used to being the center of attention. But this was different. This was personal.
He fidgeted with the phone in his hand, staring at Minju's contact. They had been friends for years, their bond forged in the crubicle of the entertainment industry. She was a rising star, a solo star with a voice as clear as crystal. And Hyunjin had always admired her talent.
Stray Kids were having a karaoke night. It was a spontaneous decision, a way to unqind after a particularly grueling schedule. But as soon as the idea was floated, Hyunjin knew he had to invite Minju. Her voice, he imagined, would fill the room with a magic that none of the members could quite replicate.
He hit send.
"Hey Minju, it's Hyunjin. We're having a karaoke night at the dorm We want to come over? Would love to hear you and sing again."
Hyunjin waited, his heart pounding in his chest. A few minutes later, his phone buzzed.
"Of course, Hyunjin! I'd love to come. What time?"
Relief wahsed over him. He texted back the details, a smile spreading acorss his face.
The dorm was abuzz with excitement. The members were already setting up the karaoke machine, the living room transformed into a makeshift stage. Chan, as always, was the leader, making sure everything was in order. Changbin and Han were busy with the drinks, their laughter echoing through the space. Felix and Seungmin were arguing over the song list, while I.N is simply enjoying the chaos.
Hyunjin found himseld watching the door, his anticpation growing. And then he heard it - thedoorbell. His heart skipped a beat.
Minju stood at the door, looking as raidant as ever. Her smile was warm and inviting, and Hyunjin felt a blushcreeping up his cheeks.
"You look amazing." He managed to say.
Minju laughed. "You don't look too bad yourself."
The night was a blur of laughter, singing, and dancing. Minju's voice was veen better than Hyunjin had remembered. She had a way of transforming every song, of amiking it her own.; The members were mesmerized, their eyes wide with admiration.
But it wasn't just Minju's voice that captivated them. Her personality was infectious. She laughed at their jokes, joined in the antics, and fit in seamlessly with the group. Hyunjin weatched her interact with the others, a sense of pride filling him.
As the night wore on, the atmosphere became more relaxed. The members started sharing stroies, revealing side s of themselves that they rarely showed to thepublic. Minju listened intently, offering thoughtful comments and insights.
Hyunjin found himseld drawn to her. There was something about her that was both familiar and indpeendence, but he was also discovering a softer side to her.
