Mark Lee. The name that's enough to make you shudder to your knees. He's so bad that even teachers are scared to talk to him.... many people wonder how a bad boy like him can be so popular? Frankly, he's got many enemies than friends. The only friends he can fully trust his crew; NCT 127.
They're the only ones who understand him and see that he's nothing but a big softie underneath. Everyone else, they are just too quick to judge a book by its cover.
Until one day, the boys were having a bit of a cigarette break. Soon, they saw a girl from Mark's class. Her name is Mina and each day, she can't help but to find them doing something they weren't supposed to do.
"Hi, do you mind if I join you guys?" She asked, curiously.
"Um...." The boys looked at each other.
"Yeah, I don't see why not. You ever smoke before?" Taeyong held a packet of cigarettes.
"Uh.... no, I haven't. Does it taste weird?" She asked.
"Only a little bit, but once you get used to it, you'll be fine." Doyoung replied.
"Woah, woah, woah. We're giving a top A student a cigarette?" Mark asked.
"What's wrong about that? If she doesn't mind it, then it's cool." Doyoung replied.
"Mmm.... how about E-cigarette instead? You know, for first timers." Yuta offered.
She grabbed the E-cigaerette and she breathed out the smoke in her lungs. The difference between an e-cigarette is that it's not damaging your lungs and it's benefical too.
"So how's the big project coming along?" Mark asked.
"It's going well, but my gosh, you have no idea how much glue I had to use and how much glitter I had to clean up." She rolled her eyes.
"I can't wait to see it. Maybe you can show it to us sometime." Yuta replied.
"Thanks, what about you lot?" She asked.
"Nah, we don't really care about some silly old projects or something like that. We just want to hang out and have fun." Taeil shrugged.
"There's got to a teacher that you do like. Or a class at least." She said.
"Nah, many people don't really like us. Yeah, we've got some fangirls here and there, but everyone here thinks we're nothing but trouble." Johnny said.
"Well, all except Mr Oswald. He's a funny man and he respects even the most troubled students." Mark replied.
"How's that going?" She asked.
"Oh, you know, the usual. But he did told us one time his wife tried to do a backflip when she was drunk." Haechan chuckled.
"Ha.... that would be the day." She rolled her eyes, laughing.
The next day, Mina spotted her friends talking and chatting to each other.
"Hey, girls. What's going on?" Mina asked.
"Oh, nothing much. Just by the fact that you're hangin gout with the most feared people in school instead of your friend group yesterday." Sejeong replied.
"And where are you going with this?" Mina asked, surprised by the bitter tone.
"You know exactly where we are going with this? Why do you even see in them?" Sally asked.
"Guys, these people are only misunderstood!" Mina replied.
"Oh sure, so they decided to give you something that's not good for you. You're a top class student, Mina! You're supposed to be ahead of your game! It won't be too long until you lose yourself with them! And don't even get me started on Mark!" Nayoung replied.
"How could you people say that? Just because they're bad doesn't mean-----"
"LISTEN TO YOURSELF! YOU'RE TALKING RIDICILOUS THINGS!" Sally screamed.
"YOU KNOW WHAT?! IF YOU PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BE LIKE THAT, THEN MAYBE THEY CAN BECOME MY NEW FRIENDS! BECAUSE FRANKLY, HAVING ME AROUND MAKES YOU FUCKING ILL!" Mina yelled before taking off.
Mina sobbed by herself on the rooftop. Mark came by and wrapped his leather jacket around her, making her comfortable.
"Are you okay?" He asked.
"No..... I thought they were my best friends. But ever since they found out I was hanging out with you and the boys, they just want to cut themselves out from my life....." She sobbed.
He held her close as her hot tears were steaming on his shirt.
"Why can't people like you like I do?" She sniffled.
"I don't know...." He replied, "Wait.... did you say like as in you like like me?"
Instanly, she knew what he meant and stopped crying for a second.
"W-well... you are a very nice person and you're always there to cheer me up.... and I--I know it's going to get me in trouble, but I would rather sacrfice myself then to not spend a day talking to you." She confessed.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.
"It was supposed to be a secret. I secretly liked you from when I saw you chilling with your friends. I was too nervous to talk, but as time goes on..... I became confident." She replied.
"Wow..... I never knew. I don't know what to say, to be honest......" He said.
"Don't say anything." She cupped his face.
And so, the two shed a beautiful emotionally filled kiss.
