Yuki's throat began to disintegrate in her hands in front his eyes, before that woman destroyed another part of it with her next movement. Frightened and urgent, he tried to quickly dig his fingers into the puddles that were around his in search of a point of support that would allow him to use enough force to get out of that place.

It made him anxious to think about how his slowness and physical exhaustion would end up killing that boy, which far from being a problem, gave him even more strength to push his body outwards. And since he had nothing more than that pencil he had taken from the wizard's shelf, he stabbed her hard in the head before she could hurt Yuki any more.

"You again!?" She screamed in pain, at the same time that she brushed his hands, impregnating them with the yellowish liquid, while he walked away from them.

The screams soon echoed in the immensity of that underground body, while he watched in shock as his hands were corroded, and in a short time he could even begin to see the bone itself.

He doubted what would kill him first, that thing or the shock of pain he was in.

"You're always in the middle," said the guy, placing himself over the trembling body of the other, who was lying face up, looking for an impossible way to calm his anguish.

His voice sounded low and threadbare, broken to such a point that he might not have recognized him without seeing him. At some point, which Alex hadn't noticed, he had grabbed his bloody and corroded hands, and wrapped them in his power. The little power he had left to be able to put an end to the damned creature behind his back.

Since he had covered them, their pain had disappeared. In fact, he couldn't feel anything, even though all of his destroyed tissues were regenerating. And yet, even though he couldn't feel his own, somehow, he could feel the other boy's, just by seeing his face. His beautiful and vivid features had completely paled again,—very different from those he had seen when he found him in the deep sleep—that the anguish over the wound in his neck was causing him, enduring everything could to finish curing him.

The tears on his cheeks flowed from his eyes lost and with a vestige of life, just like the drops of blood that flowed from the large open abrasion on his neck. Both, mixed, dripped and slid on his face, whose gaze was fixed on his, immersed in deep anguish for him.

"Yuki," he called, barely with a voice. "You have to keep that power, and your neck, your..." he managed to say with difficulty, without blinking and taking his eyes off that disastrous and bleeding place.

However, he just ignored his words, or perhaps, he could no longer even hear him, when his body gave way completely on top of his.

"Yuki, please" he begged desperately, while he felt his lifeless body resting on him.

He picked up his head carefully, trying to turn his body as if it, from the slightest sudden movement, would break. Meanwhile, he knelt beside him, holding his hands in his, the same ones by which he had exhausted the measly power that lay inside him.

The number of Alex's gasps began to multiply in search of air, unable to manage all this and inhale correctly.

"What a pathetic being," she spat, smiling, approaching slowly. "Magical creatures, like us, don't die so easily, boy. However, it is true that we have a weak point," he admitted reluctantly.

His hand hit hard where that organ that kept the two boys from one side to the other should theoretically be in order to destroy it.

"But it's not just my weak point. I'll kill him off before he has a chance to kill me!
