Chapter-10

"Hukum, we are about to reach in ten minutes,"

The flight attendant announced as Ranvijay nodded his head without looking up from his laptop screen.

The flight landed and a car was prepared beforehand waiting for him when he came out of the plane.

"Khaama Ghaani, Hukum"

Vikram was present there already as he wished opening the car door for Ranvijay.

"Should we head back to the palace?" He questioned taking the passenger seat in front while Ranvijay sat behind to take some rest.

"To the office, Vikram"

"Ji, Hukum"

He said and then the driver started the car towards the office. He didn't need to be told twice because he does things without asking any question, something which Ranvijay liked as well as appreciate about him.

As Ranvijay closed his eyes, his mind drifted back to the main purpose of visiting Australia and his jaw clenched instantly remembering it. There was no point in going back there, he knew still he did because he don't want to loose the last ray of hope in his life. He want his most precious thing back no matter what and he can do anything for that.

The car halted in front of the office building and Ranvijay stepped down making his way inside it. Everyone wished him on his way while he just gave them a curt nod.

"Hukum, you should have gone home. You must be tired, the flight was long,"

Ranvijay mentally scoffed as Parth, his PA said those words.

The place which he is referring to is palace where Ranvijay Singh Rathore is a king and not a normal human being. How is he supposed to say it his home when he never felt like it. And over the years, he actually have reduced going there spending his time in his office. The only reason he stays there is because of his siblings and also because he doesn't want his family shattered.

"I am fine,"

He told him even though he knew it clearly that he was anything but fine. The flight didn't made him tired as much as the stay there did and no matter how much he wanted to rest but couldn't. Both his brain as well body wanted some sleep but each time he closed his eyes to rest it made him remember something he for so long want to forget. Sleep and him have a hard relationship for a past few years.

"What happened about the shipment?"

Ranvijay asked sitting back on his brown leather chair in his office while Parth stood in front of him along with a black file. He opened it turning from one page to another until his gaze stopped on the one he was searching for.

"It has been proceeded and will reach by thursday after the inspections have been done."

"Okay"

"Hukum"

Vikram spoke after a few minutes breaking the silence while Ranvijay hummed in response examining the jewellery designs layed in front of him on the big mahogany table. They are to be finalized to make the samples which are needed to be showed at the jewellery exhibition.

"What is it, Vikram?"

He asked when he hesitated to say anything further.

"Bade hukum..."

Just as he was about to say it Ranvijay showed his hand stopping him from speaking anything further. His jaw was clenched as he spoke through gritted teeths,
