Chapter-26
Ranvijay's POV
As if I wasn't already impatient, the whole universe was hell bent on testing me. I kept looking at the clock from time to time while the person in front of me kept on saying something which I didn't seem to care. Atleast not at this moment. I wanted to go back to the hotel and prepare for the evening party which I had to attend today. That was the only thing roaming in my mind at the moment. I didn't cared about anything else.
It was the sole reason for my visit here and I cannot let go of this opportunity to attend this. Not when they themselves have sent the invite. Any fool will decline this once in a lifetime opportunity and I definitely am no such person.
"What are your thoughts about this joint venture?"
The man who stood in front of me asked, once he was done explaining whatever the project was about.
I lifted my gaze and looked at the people present in the conference hall. There were total of six people there and all there eyes were set on me waiting for a response.
"Mr. Collins,"
I started to speak and as soon as my voice echoed in the room everyone sat still on their places with lips sealed waiting for what I have to say.
My eyes shifted to Vikram who stood besides me with his usual stoic face expression. He had joined me on this visit like every other that I had attended knowing well that I would be needing him here with me. He is a great assistant to have by my side and he is well aware of it.
"Mr. Collins, we would like to have a meeting with your director firstly as their are things we want them to reconsider. Only after that, can we decide onto this venture,"
Vikram said on my behalf and as I said he has been with me long enough to know what I think.
Yet, as if not believing his words the man, Mr. Collins looked at me for a final approval. I, on the other hand, ignored his gaze and stood up from my seat buttoning up my coat.
"Waiting to hear from you. Have a good day gentlemen,"
I said and left from the conference hall with Vikram by my side without sparing another glance to anyone not even when they forwarded their hands for a formal handshake.
"They weren't liking it,"
I heard him saying in a low hushed voice not wanting any other person to hear apart from me.
"What?"
I asked him to clearly say what he meant even though I knew what he was referring to.
"Your disapproval,"
"Business doesn't run on someone's liking or disliking. It runs on profits, and I don't find one here,"
I said heading inside the elevator and he pressed the button to reach the basement area where the cars were parked.
"Did you get all the necessary information, I asked for?"
"Yes, hukum. If everything goes well in the party then we will connect with them quickly for further discussions,"
He was clear with his words which directly meant that their are high chances that my goal will be fulfilled. And I was more than happy about it.
"Hukum,"
"Yes,"
"I think it will be better if you don't involve Rani sa hukum in this,"
Vikram said with a hint of hesitation in his tone. I was to say something in this regard but the elevator opened at the same time cutting my words off.
