Chapter-19
Puffing the cigar in the air Ranvijay sighed and turned his attention back to the issue in hand. As he was occupied with the file, the door of his study opened and he looked up at the intruder only to find Disha standing there.
"Don't you know how to knock!?"
Ranvijay exclaimed.
"I certainly do but didn't think of doing it now. Did I disturb you?"
She asked with a smirk.
"You are a spoiled princess for sure,"
Ranvijay remarked.
But instead of giving a response, she was standing there silently looking at something with a scowl on her face. As he followed her gaze he found her looking at the cigar in Ranvijay's hand. Sensing her dislike towards the same, he immediately crushed it in the ash tray. He stood up from his chair moving to stand besides the couch nearby where she was standing.
"Why did you come here?"
Ranvijay questioned diverting her attention back to him.
"To call you for dinner. Come quickly,"
Saying this, she tried walking away from there. Tried being the keyword as Ranvijay pulled her back and she landed on his chest and the force of his action made them both fall back on the chair. An action shocking both of them but instead of apologizing Ranvijay tightened his hold on her waist settling them both on the small couch.
"Rana ji,"
Disha said glaring him as she tried to come out of his hold but he remained unaffected.
"Listen to me,"
He said placing his one hand on her leg making her still on her place.
"Remove your hands,"
She ordered him getting worked up with his actions but in response he pulled her more towards him such that their faces were just inches apart.
Her breathing turned heavy and heartbeats increased seeing their proximity. Moving even an inch was getting impossible for her. She has never been close to any man like this and it was being too much for her to handle. His rough and cold hands on her bare waist and his other hand on her thighs were already alot and such close proximity of them wasn't helping much either.
"Ran-"
"Shhh,"
Ranvijay shushed Disha as she was about to say something and she just stared at his coal black eyes.
"My bandage,"
"Hnn??"
She got confused on listening to his words but when he forwarded his hand to her she understood that he was talking about changing the bandage which has loosed on his hand. She glared back at him for his actions earlier which caused this injury but Ranvijay sat there seemingly unaffected by her glares now.
When she again moved to stand, he once more stopped her and gestured towards the table where already a box was present. Taking it, she started to treat his wound while he once again started to stare at her. Once she was done with her work, he said
"I am sorry,"
He whispered near her ears ever so slowly that one might get mistaken if they heard it right or not.
Disha looked in his eyes to depicher his true intentions behind saying those words of apology but in his eyes she found something more and deep which made her heart to stop beating, such that for a moment she thought that she might have died.
