Chapter-21

As Ranvijay entered his room the scene in front of his eyes wasn't what he expected to witness, not after whatever happened in the morning. The silence present in the room was making atmosphere calm and the view in front of him made him forget about everything.

There sat Disha on the couch present in the room her hand placed on the arm rest supporting her head with her eyes closed indicating her sleeping state. Ranvijay, on the other side, stayed still on his place and kept looking at her without blinking. He couldn't help but think of her dozing off while waiting for him and this made him feel guilty. Not thinking twice his legs moved to where she was sitting and started to gaze at her face.

However, his moment of serenity didn't last long as Disha opened her eyes sensing his presence. Unknown to him she is a light sleeper and her senses remain active even while sleeping. Hence, she easily recognized his presence around her.

"What are you doing?"

Disha asked on noticing their close proximity.

"I should ask you that question, not you"

Ranvijay said while still standing at the same place inclining towards her not moving an inch.

"I was waiting for you. Now answer my question,"

Disha replied sitting straight on the couch to make some distance between both their bodies.

"Why??"

Ranvijay again inquired, however, this time Disha choose to not reply.

"I am asking something, Rani sa,"

"So am I, Rana ji. First reply to my question then I will reply to yours,"

She said nonchalantly shrugging her shoulders and sat there unaffected by his angry gaze.

It affected her less about his such angry glares and words. She has had enough of all this and his morning attitude had angered her more than anything. Past night that they had spent made her believe that maybe he is accepting this relationship but it isn't like she supposed.

Ranvijay on the other hand kept silent on her words on not having a valid excuse.

"Since you don't have anything to say I will assume that you were staring at me while I was asleep,"

Disha said while examining the sudden change in his expressions as she said that.

"I wasn't,"

Came a quick response from Ranvijay.

"Whatever sails your boat, Rana ji"

Saying this Disha stood up from her seat and went out of the room leaving him alone there in the room.

Ranvijay kept on looking at her retreating figure until she disappeared into the dark corridor. It was only after a few minutes he composed himself and went to change his clothes.

After changing when he returned back to the room he was meet with loneliness.

"Where did she went?"
