"Khama ghani hukum sa,"
The man said as soon as Ranvijay entered inside the office.
Seeing the man, Ranvijay frowned but holded himself back from showing any kind of confusion or asking him about his presence here. He waited for him to say something as he made his way towards his seat and sat down on his brown leather chair.
"May I know the reason of your such unexpected presence here, Mr..."
He spoke but trailed off in the last as he looked at the man to say something.
"Hukum, I think that something is wrong with the company's statement. I recently looked over it and found multiple faults in it. We had to give it to the department for verifications and if we get late it will land us in some serious trouble,"
The man informed Ranvijay, his tone laced with worry and tension as he waited for Ranvijay's reaction.
"Did you checked it properly?"
Ranvijay questioned not wavering from his cold demeanor a single bit as he looked at the person in front of him while lightning his cigar.
"Yes, I did checked it. I checked it twice infact,"
The man said with frowned lines etched on his face as he prayed for his life. He was well aware of the anger of the man in front of him.
However, Ranvijay didn't showed any signs of anger which further tensed the latter as he feared his reaction. He was definitely calm on the surface but his mind was running in all the different direction to understand the situation.
"Does anyone know about this apart from you, Mr. Shashtri?"
The man whom Ranvijay called Mr. Shashtri shook his head in negative at his query. Ranvijay thought for a second as he took a puff from his cigar and then looked up at the man and said,
"Find out who that person is behind all this within the next three days. Otherwise, you know very well what will happen to you and all the people in your department,"
Ranvijay told the person and he nodded his head in a haste before he signalled the man to go away. Mr. Shashtri in the next second was out of his cabin, worried about how he will find the person behind this fraud.
Ranvijay's POV
I stayed back in my office even after Mr. Shashtri had left from there, my mind running quick to grasp the situation. This is the first time something like this has happened and whoever is behind this knows well enough about all the company records. Otherwise, in no way would that person be able to do all this without giving a hint to anyone.
"Hukum,"
A deep, raspy voice came disturbing me as it broke the silence layered in the room.
"Ratan Singh,"
I spoke as I looked up to see the old man standing at the entrance of my cabin with the same intimidating look he had all these years ago.
Honestly, it was a shock for me to see him visiting me like this at this time and as much as I have known from my past experiences all these years, he hadn't come here to just meet me. For sure, Mr. Narendra Singh Rathore has some work with me, so he sent his servant to me.
