"An angelic figure hops down from the trees onto the road with a graceful aura. She holds a silver rifle with a glowing golden crystal embedded where the magazine should be."

- Crimson Assassin, "Escape From The Past"

Continuing the legacy of the great Vitanien Stone, Amber Vita was a weapon created by Lenna Cormeum of the New Moon that had the ability of restoring life. It was one of the only weapons in Sanctum's history that could handle the power of a Vitanien shard, giving much credit to its designer.

Lenna's Sacred Springs of Vitanne

History

Some time in 731 of the Fourth Age, Lenna Cormeum joined the New Moon which fled Aestagia to Havenesith shortly after. They took up residence in the capital of Haven for a time as they often did. Here Lenna, with no weapon to call her own but a steam pistol and axe, studied at Mirion Academy and learned how to craft a weapon unique to her preferred fighting style. She was a healer and surgeon in Aermont before she was cast aside and would have natural precision for sniping. Lenna created an Aestagian inspired steam powered railgun that could also function as a blade, but she continued even further. Lenna somehow acquired a Vitanien shard from Mirion Academy, most likely with Lawless's help, and fused it within the weapon taking the place of the compressed steam as a fuel source. She named it Amber Vita as it was seen to be able to sap life from fallen foes and deliver it to the user.

Amber Vita was used by Lenna during her years in the New Moon until her death in Opal Vale, where the blade was shattered apart by Daichi's Shattersword along with her body. Because of the power of the Vitanien shard it remained behind, in more shards than before, but Alizarin carried the dust with him in a pouch by his side. When he founded the Kingdom of Rakuyo at the start of the Fifth Age, the dust from Amber Vita's crystal was placed in a vase at the top of Cormeum Tower on the eastern border of Rakuyo. It was said that Lenna's spirit guarded the River Annulen and watched over the borders of Alizarin's land.

Appearance

Amber Vita assumed the form of a silver mechanical rifle that oftentimes looked like a greatsword, though it was not sharp. At its tip stuck out the barrel where golden beams of light would be fired out of like a sniper, and all down the length of the barrel were etched engravings of dragons. Where its magazine would be was a tall cage that held the golden crystal tightly within and it glowed lightly with a wavelike shimmer. Above the crystal was a small scope. Amber Vita was surprisingly light for its size.

Abilities

Amber Vita functioned like a sniper railgun and fired golden beams of light. The fire rate was seen to vary between slow precise shots and fast and messy like a machine gun. If opponents got too close to the user, the bottom of the barrel could mechanically unfold into a giant axe head by the pull of a crank on the stock. Lenna was able to use the momentum of shots to spin Amber Vita at insane speeds in a whirlwind of axe and beams of light.

The principal ability of Amber Vita was its ability to restore the user's health, this force coming directly from the lives the weapon took. When Lenna would slay any beast, the life energy of the target travelled up the light beam and to her, restoring any wounds. When this occurred, a golden light swirled about her and she glowed. This ability lay in the powerful Vitanien crystal used as ammunition, and it never ran out but could only temporarily deplete, then restore itself back in a few minutes to hours. The light of the crystal would fade as it emptied, but this was rarely an issue. Such as each weapon's ability was tied to the user who wielded it, only Lenna could be affected by the healing properties.
