"Look around, we fight next to the graves of our fallen comrades. Today, we fight and take back our home!"

- Tangerine

Tangerine Windleaf was the overseer of Valeon's Hunters of Hesperidium and later became a valued member of the New Moon. He fought with a god's gift and family heirloom for a weapon, an umbrella he called Sunburst.

Characteristics

Appearance

Tangerine Windleaf was a tall Faeman who was 6'4'' and 26 years old at the time of Crimson Assassin. He had a narrow face, short orange hair that was swept to one side, and he had brilliant blue eyes that were narrow and judging. Because of his ancestry, Tangerine's ears were slightly pointed and his skin had a medium complexion. His face was freckled and could change color easily. He did not smile often and one would think he had no emotions the way his face could stay still for so long.

Tangerine wore a dark blue tasseled corduroy coat with loose sleeves and a short mini cape that hung around the shoulders. There was a sunny orange emblem embroidered on his collar. Underneath his coat, there was a half unbuttoned pinstripe shirt that was dark green in color. He wore a dark brown pair of pants and similarly colored dress shoes, and his legs were wound with green garlands of leaves. Sometimes, he would wear a leaf or two in his hair. Attached to his leather belt he would hang Sunburst like a sword sheath.

Personality

People who spent any period of time with Tangerine and were asked to tell about his personality, might say that he had none. Well, that would be unrealistic, but Tangerine was a quiet individual who spoke only when he needed to. If not nodding or shaking his head to respond, he spoke in clear plain sentences and never jumbled words. His voice was deep and one could feel that thought was put into every word. In higher stakes events, he could become loud and commanding, making everyone in the room turn to listen with a slight sense of unexpected fear. He was a commander of his own band of warriors, and had experience in leading and boosting morale, and this often showed. He was not afraid to speak his mind and didn't care much what others thought of him. Tangerine also had the trait of being able to see through bluffs and facades, calling out people's true intentions and feelings. This made him a perfect interrogator.

Tangerine did have a softer and interesting side, as he enjoyed the culinary arts the most. He was the designated cook for the Hunters and the New Moon, famously cooking with his eyes seemingly closed with graceful movements when in the zone. He was apparently a connoisseur in dishes from the realms of the Westlands and showed clear passion when explaining the histories of cuisine. He also was a bit of an intellectual, having an interest in the nature of Sanctum, particularly the weather. He would spend hours in Opal Vale's observatory tower observing rainfall patterns and the like.
