"Dan Heng! C-Can we talk?" You barged into the data bank, his room, with a sense of urgency you hadn't felt since you first arrived on the Astral Express. Your eyes widened though and almost immediately slapped a hand over your mouth. In the cot, off in the corner of the room was a sleeping Dan Heng. His spear was resting against the railing and his body seemed stiff even though he was sound asleep. He stirred ever so slightly, probably due to your sudden outburst, but with a few soft groans, he was back to his peaceful slumber. Your heart picked up its pace as you cautiously approached his sleeping figure. For whatever reason, you were drawn to this boy. Maybe it was the mystery surrounding him or the fact that he was your only human reminder of your home. Whatever the case was, before you knew it, you were hovering over his body, admiring his features in a way you didn't think was possible.

His hair, you could imagine running your fingers through it ever so slightly. It was disheveled in such a way that you felt only you could fix it. His beautiful eyelashes, they rested gently on his under-eye and were long. It worked so well with his features, but that was a common occurrence for most guys, you realized. "This is the first time we've met, here, on the Astral Express, but... Would you believe me if I told you I had been dreaming about you for so long? It's as if I've known you my entire life... Even before I knew myself. Doesn't that sound so... crazy...?" You spoke softly to yourself, a quiet chuckle escaping your lips as you continued to observe him. You reached out and gently brushed his hair from his face, being careful not to disturb him in the process. Something about his vulnerable sleeping state made you feel... warm. A feeling you hadn't felt since Jing Yuan.

Jing Yuan, you thought and hesitantly retracted your hand from his face just as he shifted just a little closer in your direction. Your eyes widened a bit and you instantly regretted tearing yourself away from him so fast. Does he know I'm here? Maybe he feels it too... The very thought of him feeling some type of connection with you crossed your mind and your cheeks warmed slightly. I shouldn't stay here... You got off your knees slowly and quietly before backing away from Dan Heng. For some reason, it felt hard to tear yourself away from him, but you knew it was the right thing to do. "Maybe next time." You concluded softly as you left his room, still satisfied despite not having achieved your goal.

Maybe, just maybe... we are connected.

"Ugh, Dan Heng! At least look at the camera!" March 7th pouted with an angry huff as she waved her camera around, "This is a very important moment that I'm trying to capture!" She waved an angry fist in his direction, but the boy was hardly listening. His gaze was elsewhere, on a certain girl who was flipping through a book at one of the nearby tables with a complex expression on her face. "When has he ever been one for pictures, March? Plus, he technically doesn't have to be in it," Welt chuckled as he waved his hands to try and calm her down, "After all, he isn't accompanying us to the Luofu. No need to pressure him into anything." He continued as he looked over at Dan Heng with a smile.

March 7th rolled her eyes with a groan before looking at Dan Heng herself, following his gaze over to Y/n. A cheeky grin spread across her face and she tucked her camera away, crossing her arms as she looked back at him. "I didn't know you were one to stare, Dan Heng. You should say something to her!" She nudged his shoulder and completely took him out of his trance so abruptly. "March, what nonsense are you spouting now?" He heaved a sigh and shook his head, "Jumping to conclusions like this is going to get you in trouble someday." She jabbed a finger into his chest accusingly with a smug expression on her face, "But you didn't deny that you were staring at her!"
