Yuzuru simply couldn't wait for Maya's birthday.

Not only was her mother coming to Japan and he was now helping with all the preparations, but he had decided to use the special date to ask the question that he had been dreading as well.

He now had over a month for Fantasy on Ice.

Sure enough, there were a lot of interviews to do and things to record, but he would have all the time he wanted to plan and organize for the special day.

Maya had told him that she never celebrated her birthday when her mother was away and even if he promised her that he wouldn't organize anything, he figured that if Giulia was with them, his beautiful girl would allow for a party.

She surprised him by taking a few days off near the date and Yuzu realized that things seemed to fall into place.

The plan was for her to come to Sendai and he had to admit that this little detail made his life a lot easier.

Yuzuru even went as far as asking Chiara for her help, knowing that there was a lot that her best friend would know that he was just partly aware of. The friend looked at him as if he had two heads when first asked and even asked if he was sure multiple times.

"You know she hates to celebrate her birthday? It's your own death, but just to warn you."

"She hates celebrating her birthday when her mother isn't around..."

"Yes... "

"Wait...You managed to get Giulia to come to Japan? What the hell?"

"Shh...It's a surprise for Maya..."

"Whatever your secret is, Hanyu, I need to know it. There's no way that woman just comes willingly."

"Actually, she planned to come even before I said anything."

"What do you mean?"

"My mom and her had been planning it without me, I just helped later."

"Your mom's talk to each other?"

"Maya didn't tell you?"

"No."

"They are old acquaintances actually. We found out by accident that they knew each other when Maya told her mom about me."

"You're not serious..."

"I am, very serious."

"That's a huge coincidence."

"Yeah, but it is what it is."

"If it gets Giulia to be here for Maya's birthday, it's for sure good news. Maya will be so happy!"

"I hope so. That's the whole idea."

"Yuzuru" Chiara called for his first name. It was almost weird to hear her say it when she usually just called him Hanyu.

"You're oddly serious."

"I just wanted to say that I'm very happy you and Maya found one another. I've never seen her as happy as she has been lately and I would have to be blind not to notice that it's because of you."

"I'm not perfect, but I will always do my best for her to stay like that."

"Good. Because if you break her heart... I will come for you."

"Wouldn't expect anything less..."

The plans were fully settled then.

On the day of her birthday, he was so happy to wake up with Maya in his arms that all the stress about the plans for later on was completely wiped up from his brain. He woke her up properly in the only way he knew how to.

His eyes saw the figure by his side, asleep and peaceful and he couldn't ignore how incredible she looked in that bed. Wearing only his t-shirt, which barely covered anything but her torso, Maya looked gorgeous in his eyes.

It was only natural that he was instantly drawn to her, his biggest priority for that morning was to give her some nice happy birthday wishes, hopefully in the form of pleasure.

Yuzuru's mouth was instantly on her neck, kissing gently as his fingers caressed her exposed thighs.

A moan from her was all it took to encourage him.

"Morning" the beautiful woman said in a raspy voice, so characteristic of the morning and so sexy for his ears.

"Good morning, my beautiful princess. Happy birthday."

"Well, this is certainly a good way to start the day." she said with a huge grin.

Yuzuru didn't waste much time. His lips kissed hers passionately, hands roaming all over her body now that she was awake.

He discarded her shirt just a few moments later, exposing all of her beautiful skin to his hungry eyes.

"You get more beautiful with each day that passes."

"Stop being corny... please."

"You always complain but I know you love it when I'm like this."

"What can I say...I like it when you try to be romantic or whatever."

Yuzu smiled and resumed his attack on her neck, moving along her skin and pampering Maya with gentle touches that were as teasing as they were pleasurable.

He loved to see her head thrown back, hands gripping the sheets as he gave her body what it so desperately needed.

"Yuzu..." 

Her moans were one of his beautiful sounds in the world and by now, he knew exactly what to do to make them leave her mouth.

When he deemed that all the teasing had been enough, Yuzuru finally entered her. His hands roamed her thighs and caressed them with each thrust. Dictating a slow but deep pace seemed to be all she needed in that exchanged moment. 

With each of his movements, he could see just how close she was. This was something that he considered to be a relief because as things were now, he knew he wouldn't last too long either. There was something very erotic about the way her body responded to his and he could never get tired of it.

As they climaxed, Yuzuru kissed her forehead and wished her happy birthday once again, only to laugh at the silly yet loving question that she asked in response.
