Jesse lies down over my bed as I try on the ten different dresses my mother bought me for a casting I have tomorrow... Tomorrow. Tomorrow is Monday which means is also Pretty Boy's first day working as my bodyguard. I still can't believe I challenged him and that he accepted, the idea was to make him run but I guess I'm going to have to be a lot more creative.
"Not that one, you look like a grandma." My best friend says, making one of his signature faces of disgust. No shame when it comes to him just blunt honesty.
"It's not that bad." I stare at myself in the mirror, is a pretty conservative dress, with long sleeves, and knee length but it's not ugly, or grandma-like. At least not too much.
"It is bad, try that one." He points to the only dress that isn't black in the whole haul.
"Light gray for a casting?" I turn around while also getting out of the so-called grandma dress.
To some people —and rightfully so— it might be weird to get naked in front of your guy best friend but Jesse and I have worked together in so many photoshoots before that we have pretty much seen everything there's to see about each other's body. No model has time to go change to the dressing rooms every five minutes. So there's really no need.
"Your mother bought it so I guess she likes the idea." He stands from the bed handing me the dress.
It's a good color but I usually go with black for castings... or my mother does. She says that it makes me look put together but also casual.
"Okay..." I slip it on anyway and walk towards my mirror once again.
This one is a lot less conservative but still formal. It cuts on the thigh, has thick straps instead of sleeves, and a slightly rounded neckline. It's pretty and actually my style which is surprising. Not something my mom would usually choose for me. Maybe she feels guilty about the situation with my new bodyguard.
"That's the one, makes your waist look so snatched." Jesse smiles at me through the mirror.
"We have a winner then." I check myself out one last time to make sure before getting out of it and changing into my satin pajamas.
"You think he will like it?" Jesse asks suddenly. A smile on his lips.
"Who?" I turn around confused.
"Your new bodyguard, you said he was twenty-five right? You will be making his job a lot harder than it already is... maybe you will even make him hard." He laughs looking directly at me.
"Ew, Jesse, don't say that." I shake my head.
"Oh come on, didn't you say you wanted to make his life hell so he would give up? Drive him crazy enough and he will either leave or get himself fired."
Of course, this would be his first idea, it's Jesse we are talking about. Flirting is one of his main personality traits, one he has mastered. It's incredible what he can get from people without giving anything in return by just being himself. I wish I had that power, I'm good at flirting but not nearly as good as him. One time he convinced an older man to invite us both to a boat party (all expenses paid) for no reason whatsoever. And another time he flirted his way out of getting arrested for pretending he was a bartender in a pretty known nightclub in the city. I don't know how many free shots he gave to random people that night. Basically, whatever Jesse wants he gets. I do things a little differently, mostly I try to make my way inside people's heads to figure out the best way to blow their minds away... or drive them crazy, depending on the person.
