The streets of New York were buzzing with life, a lot more than usual. It was a beautiful night, perfect warm weather which meant that everyone had had the same idea of going out tonight. Usually, I wouldn't mind, I love it when there's ambiance, seeing all the people dressed up and having fun what I do not like is the traffic. A ride that was supposed to be fifteen minutes long turned into thirty and for the whole length of it, I had to act all cozy with William.

He took it really seriously, whenever someone else was in the room with us he wouldn't let go of me, and if that someone else was Miles it got even worse. I know that before this whole thing happened he had accused me of sleeping with him but I thought he had believed me when I said nothing was going on between us. Back then that had been the truth, now what he had accused me of became a reality and if we want to go unnoticed we have to be really careful.

"We are here," Miles says, stopping right in front of the valley at the restaurant so they can park our car.

"Ready, Gigi?" William smiles, his hand still resting on my thigh.

"Yeah, ready." I force a smile, taking his hand and giving it a gentle squeeze so he would finally let go of me.

Miles got out of the car first, followed by William and when I opened my door I noticed how William practically pushed Miles away so he could be the one to help me out of the car. "I've got it, don't worry." He told him with a tight smile.

"Of course." Miles took a step back, his gaze as cold as ice.

"May I?" William gave me his hand and I reached for it, thanking him with a nod as he helped me out of the car. "My apologies for the comments I made about your dress, you look beautiful." He whispers in my ear, his hand traveling to the lower part of my back.

"It's okay, thank you." I brush it off, not wanting to keep thinking about this.

I knew William cared about appearances a lot but he had never said anything about the way I dressed before. That's why when he said something about my dress I started doubting myself. If he had something to say about it maybe I was actually crossing a line but when Miles told me how beautiful I looked that was enough to make my hesitation disappear, at least for a while.

We entered the restaurant and as we were led to a table in the back, far enough from the prying eyes of the many paparazzi in the street I felt a little less anxious. The fact that I could feel Miles watching me from a nearby table also helped.

"They are everywhere lately," I tell William as he moves my chair back so I can sit down.

I am not stupid, I'm aware that there have been some times when my mother was the one to call the paparazzi but even without those times we have really been in the media's eye. William's and I's relationship sells, the son of one of the most important businessmen and the next big top model. We were the perfect fucking cliche and everybody loves this kind of cliches. People eat them up.
