Chapter 2

At breakfast, the couple could barely look a the girl. Making her feel as though she did something wrong. So when breakfast was dismissed, left with out writing a word.  

Reece entered her room, feeling confused. But quickly pushed it down to get to work. She was using the last pages of her sketchbooks to draw the

Reece's day continued uneventful. Dan didn't come down a visit her. And she didn't go upstairs to find him. She felt she needed to give him time. She thought about lots of things. Her mom, dad, stepfather,, the others, and getting a job. A job, she thought, I could get a job!

You could, but, they have to let you stay first, the voice said. The voice that always shut down her plans. She hated that voice but couldn't run away from it.

"Dan, we can't just avoid this! And, hope it goes away. Cause if you do, Reece will go away with it!" 

"I know that! How, bout we go to the agency tomorrow. And sign the papers. Then, we can sign her up for school." 

~New character~ 

"Ciara Ashley Robinson!" My best friend, Melanie exclaimed. "What?" I groaned. We Were suppose to be study for our test. Which is tomorrow! "I'm bored." she complained.  

"Then, actual study!" 

"No!" She rejected. Then, started creeping her fingers along my arm. "No!" I said, brushing away her fingers. Melanie was the sex-loving friend. And she was bisexual. Letting her get the best of both worlds. "Call Andy! Your boyfriend, remember!" She sat in my lap, and started kissing my neck. "I got bored with him!" she murmured.  

"Mel, you know what happen we get caught. And if I fail this time." My mind was yell no but I still gave her most access. She gave me her most seductive smile. "What?" she asks, though she already knew. "I'll get one hell of a beaten."  

"You'll get one anyway!" True! So, basically, I get abused everyday by my dad and brother. At different times. They only hit me where people won't see. But, anyone like everyone else, Melanie figure it out and confronted me about it. I broke down and told her the whole story. The funny thing, she didn't take pity on me. She just was... Melanie, I guess. "Let's go to my bedroom, then." I gave in, letting her drag me across my living room. I live in what is call a maids quarters. I left my brother and dad, sometimes my mom even though she not there whole lot.  

She lighted her smoke, even though she wasn't legal yet. "I thinking bout getting a new partner!" 

"Yeah? Who?" 

"You know that Hopper boy?" 

"Jalex! Isn't his sister like student council prez?" 

"Yep!" she grinned.  

"Why him?"  

"I don't know!" she stated, then turn over. Tell me the conversation was over.

Reece knock on Jalex's door. "What's wrong?" He asked. Can I sleep in here? Reece asked. "Why?" he asked but opening the door, letting her in. You see, tomorrow's my birthday and I always spent to night with my mom. But she not here. So, I spent to night with you?

"So, basically, I'm your substitute?" 

Reece nodded, hoping he was okay with that. He shrugged. Reece gasped at his room. ( http://www.pinterest.com/pin/537969117959235300/) "It's not that's amazing." He chuckled. They walked over to the bed, after Reece stopped gaping. "You can sleeping against the wall" He let Reece crawl and get comfortable. Before laying down next her.  

"J, wake up!" A very gentle voice whispered. Jalex woke up startled. He turned to see to he voice only saw a very frighten Reece. He put two and two together. And realized it was Reece's voice. "Was that you?" he asked, waiting for her to calmed down. "Sorry." he muttered. Reece nodded. "So what do you usually do?" Reece grinned, and ran out of the room. She came back a couple seconds later, with her iPod. Then she pulled it in to his speakers. Messing around with it for a few seconds, next turning to Jalex, "We dance!" 

"I can't dance!" Jalex muttered. Reece laughed. It sounded musical. "Neither can I!" she stated. "But.."he started but Reece cut him of. "Don't talk, just dance." Reece said, pulling him in for a slow dance. They were just spinning in circles and bursting in random dances moves, when both of they fell over. "When your birthday?" Reece asked. Jalex blushed, sheepishly. "This weekend!" Reece shot up, "What? And you didn't tell! You're turning fifteen in three days! I should stop playing video games with you, for that!" Jalex laughed and started dancing again. Reece joined in.

Sam heard some music and sat up. Then, looked at his now awake partner. "Shall we investigate?" Dan asked, slipping into his slippers. "On my day off, too!" Sam teased. They opened their door to find Bri with half her her hair done, walking down the stairs. And a half asleep Justin a few steps behind her. "I guess we not the only ones awake" Sam chuckled. 

The music lead us to Jalex's room. We looked to see Jalex, Justin, Reece dancing like clowns. Then there's Brianna. She looks like she trying to process something. "Look, Daddy and Papa are here, too." Justin said, running over to Sam. "Hey Daddy, Papa!"  

"So, what's the music for?" Sam asked. "It's my birthday!" Reece said. Using her hands for dramatic effects. "You talked!" Dan said, twirling her. Reece was laughing like a four year old by the time he stopped. "Happy birthday! Do you know you're older than Jalex by four days?" Sam said. Reece nodded. Sam walked over to his husband, "We have a present for you!" Dan nodded. "What?" Reece asked, nervously. "We going the placement agency and sign some paper. Then to the school and sign you up for second quarter. Last to the furniture show to pick out some furniture for your room." Dan finished. "One thing, before I started hopping around, is my name Reece Luigi Hopper?" Dan and Sam nodded. Reece gave every one hugs. "Now get dressed. While we call Kate and the school."
