"Luigi? Or is it Reece, now?" I gasped, as I turned to see Valentino. I haven't seen him since I left. He's my best friend in the Philippines, and his brothers alway looked out for my mom when I had to do to school. *It's Reece, now* I told him. "Not talking, anymore!" He teased. I grinned, *I talk to people I like* He feigned hurt, "How can you not like me?" I laughed. "We should catch up some time!" He grinned. We exchange phone numbers. I run up the stairs to the M's house, and unlocked the door with the key I was given. Yep, I have a key. "To anyone who care, Reece has arrived!" I call out. I followed sticky notes. Everyone, except Claire, was here. I looked around it looked like an actual record store. I put my bag and board in a corner and sit next Dez. "Peter Pan has arrived!" Michael announced, "Where's your Wendy?" I blushed, "She's dropping off the basket!" The guys started 'aww'ing. I looked for something to throw at them, but I couldn't, so I change the subject. "Ciara, what's up?" I asked. The guys went back to trying to learn the beat. Dez was either recording us or editing pictures. Ciara and I were trying to decide who sang what. Once we got that down, I started trying to memorized the words.
/Ciara's POV/
Reece had her head in Claire's lap and feet in mines. Sometimes I'd laughed because her socks were the farest from matching. Jalex and Micheal both had their eyebrows knitted together in concentration. Marshall and Max both concerated frowns on. Dez had a look that said 'Bitch don't bug me! I'm working.' I can wait to give them their presents! "Christmas Party!" I squealed. Everyone looked at Me, before laughing. I pouted, "What?" Reece laughed, "You looked like the most excited four year old ever!" I suck my lip out farther, "Do you want to hear my idea?" They lowered their laughter and nodded. "Claire's leaving the Sunday of Winter Break. So we should we should have a little party of our own. So Claire can be here!" I squealed. They smiled and told it was great idea. Claire hugged me. Reece tapped my stomach with my foot, showing she liked the idea. Band Practice went fairly quick. The Neverland Girls spent mostly of it making a schedule. Who works with who on what days. When Claire, Dez, Reece, and I have study group and at who's house. After that, we were pretty bored. "Am i kaya nababato. Sabihin gumawa ng isang cake. (I am so bored. Let's make a cake)" Reece yawned, getting up. All I understand was cake. "What about cake?" Claire asked. Reece was too busy stretching to answer. "You guys are worried what she said bout, while I'm wondering what language is was?" Michael criticized. We all nodded. Mic shook his head and tsked. "It's Filipino. And I said Let's make a cake." She yawned.
(Monday!)
-Reece's POV-
*Stop walking like that* I snapped. She looked at my sign, then me. "Like what?" Ciara asked. *Like an apology no one wants. Like you're sad to be who you are* Her beautiful face grew glum. *Who even told you that lied. Now, please, stop walking like that.* She lifted her head, pulled her shoulder, and swayed her hips, but her walk was still. I'll have to take her to Brianna. We were on the way to her house. Claire and Dez were working, so we decided to hang out. Until, after dinner, when the gang could get there, and help place her furniture. "The lady at the fabric store gave me a box of six by four inches clothes and I was wondering if you want to make bow-ties, while I make Natalie's dresses?" She asked, looking at me. I nodded.
Yesterday, Jean approved of our clothes' line. In fact, she even lined up some interviews, for companies. To see if our lines could get sponsors. And Mrs. Benson said if they don't take us, she'll find people who would. The guys still cut square since all of them refused to learn to sew.
Micheal: It's too girly!
Max: Do I look like a girl?
Jalex: I love you to pieces but no
Marshall: *laughed in my face*
Dez: I have film club, sorry!
*What do Nat's dresses look like?* I asked. She smiled, a dazing smile, "Well, I'm making her theme dress that are acceptable. My inspirtation are Peter Pan," Ciara looked down, blushing. Aww! ", Then, Alice in Wonderland. Lastly, Snow White and the seven dwarfs. And if you want, I could make you a Mad Hatter suit." I smiled and nodded. Though she was looking at me, she smiled back.
She stuck her tongue out in concentration. She was finishing up the stitch. Ciara jumped up in victory. I laughed. "I'm going to put these in Nat's closet! Wanna come?" She chirped. I helped her carry them to Natalie's room.
/Ciara's POV/
I love being around Reece. There something about her. I just can't describe it. It's like when ever we talk, she actually hear me. Not just listens. For example, yesterday she gave me all her green skittles, because she remembered they were my favorite. Reece tapped my shoulder. I looked at her sign, *A penny for your thoughts?* I looked at the ground, "Why don't you talk? I mean besides the quote." She sighed, *My stepdad. He made life easier, after my paw died. Slowly he started breaking our self esteem. Convincing us, we need him. Before we need it, we were in too deep.* This was the most I've heard about her past. *He hated my voice, so I quit talking to make him happy. Sometimes, he'd bring friends over, to make the beatings worst.* I could her her stuttering and stumbling over words. She was leaving something out, and I didn't push.
The guys are so amazing. The M's were bringing in, and adjusting, my furniture. Dez and Jalex were painting my loft bed. Reece and Claire were bring my designs to life. Reece was humming Show tunes. Claire was listening to Spoken word poetry. They were like this, until one poem came on. Anxiety Group by Catalina Ferro to be exact. Reece mouthed the words along with the video. "You like this poem?" Asked Claire. Reece nodded, "And the poet. This is my second favorite poem from her!" I smiled. She likes poetry. "What else does do you love?" I asked. She stretched, "The love stories of old couples, long letters, books, soldiers coming home, pen pals, other stupid things!" I'll make her a box of most of these thing. I could get the love story for Mrs. Artolwiski, then I buy her books from a book store out of town. Auntie Maddie and uncle Adam started off as pen pals. For a fact, I know still have their letters. Bet they're nice enough to copy and them to me. "What do you love, Ciara?" Reece asked. "Well, I love cooking. I love it when my mom home. I love going to the beach. Dancing in the rain. Tree-houses." I stopped rambling. "Do any of have a back yard?" Reece asked. I nodded, so did Claire. "Well since both yards don't have a trees, we'll just make a ground house! Which yard?" Mrs Artolwiski's was chosen. Mainly, because Sir wouldn't allow with. And because it would give us more of a reason to visit Mrs. A. Speaking of my backyard, I peek out my window. The backyard really needs work. Max was in charge of floor plans. I'm design. Maybe I could be an interior designer. Hey! That's a dream for myself! I have a dream. *Fangirl-ish squeal* Michael and Max brought in the last if my furniture. "Where do you want this?" Michael asked. Him, and Max were carrying my breakfast bar. I pointed to the empty spot in my kitchen. It fit perfectly. Marshall brought in the chairs. "That's it!" I announced, clapping. Reece grinned, and Claire went on sewing. "Well, bye! I have tradition to continue!" Reece smiled, putting on her sweater. After she left, guys bursted in random acts of songs, to keep the room for going silent. Eventually, they ran out of songs. We settled in a comfortable silence.
