"Wow, okay these rooms are way more spacious than I thought they'd be. I managed to put all of the suitcases in the closet after all."

"Tell me about it," Ryan said in amazement. "These beds seem almost as big as the room."

"Seriously." I laughed.

Me and Ryan were roomed together for the trip. Adri and Dakota got the one-bedder, of course, and I think Maya and Nia are in the other one-bedder but they have a small couch.

Since my mom had an extra ticket I guess Ms. Valentina or Maya invited Dinah on the trip so ultimately she got the final ticket.

Once it came down to picking who got what room, Maya almost jumped out of her skin at the opportunity to take the first one-bedder.

I honestly thought that her and Dinah would've roomed together but she was left in the hallway with me and Ryan in the end.

As me and Ryan finished grabbing our things before we headed to the pool, Dinah came out of the bathroom.

"Hey," I smiled.

Dinah gave a small smile, looking a bit shy. "Hi."

"Me and Ryan were about to head down to the pool. You down?"

"Uh, actually I'm good. I'm gonna go to the spa and get a much needed massage. Thanks anyway."

"Oh, no problem." I replied. We grabbed our phones and keycard before leaving out the room.

Ryan chuckled as we entered the hallway, making our way to the elevator.

"What's so funny?"

She shrugged, "Nothing. Nothing. I just love that you're playing nice with her. It's cute."

"Cute?" I pressed the up button and we entered the vacant elevator.

"Yeah. Oh come on Jamila, I know you don't actually like her."

I scoffed, "I barely know her. I've seen her maybe two or three times. Once including Maya's trial and the other being today at the cruise terminal."

"And don't forget you met her at that dinner."

"Dinner?" We stepped out of the elevator and walked out onto the top deck.

"Yes, don't you remember? We were all at dinner the night Maya finally came back from New York. I invited you but your phone was off."

"Damn." I mumbled.

"We were all sitting down and you just happened to be on a date with-"

"Jalen. Shit, I was on my date with Jalen."

"Mhm. She wasn't very talkative at the table but from the looks of it, she seemed to be really comfortable around Maya."

We approached the chairs at the pool and looked around, searching for two empty ones. As we were looking, I caught of glimpse of a little birdie I was trying desperately to avoid.

"Speaking of the devil," Ryan mumbled. "We can go somewhere else if you want."

"No. I'm good. I have no intention of talking to her anyways so I have no issue. Come on, there's a seat over there."

As we rounded the side of the pool opposite of the bar, I could see that she was talking to a woman in a red swimsuit.

I'd be lying if I lied but the woman was beautiful. Her dark hair was slicked back just right and those Prada shades she wore made the outfit pop even more.

"Is she really flirting with someone else?"

"I wouldn't put it past her. She's quick to move on I see."
