It was almost 12 . Avni slowly came inside dadi's room and switched on the lights making dadi to woke up.

"Happy birthday dadi......." Avni greeted while smiling  and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you so much Avni...." Dadi replied and hugged her back.

"But why are you still awake.... You could've wished me in the morning..." Dadi asked as she looked at the time.

"No... I wanted to be the first person to wish you......" She answered smiling.

"And this is for you....." She said and gifted her something wrapped in a beautiful gift wrapper.

"What is this Avni?........" Dadi asked.

"Nothing... Just a small gift from me....." She said hesitatinly.

"Please Avni..... You don't need to bother......" Dadi said politely.

"No dadi..... It's nothing..... I just wanted to say thank you for everything you did for me. In this stranger city where I was alone you took me in your embrace. You treated me like your own child. You know, the love and the care you have given me, I can't thank you enough. I never got this chance to say this before but today I want to tell you this dadi. I am really grateful that I met you. I don't know how and when but you became my family. I love you so much. Today is your birthday... I know I am not able to do anything special for you . There is nothing that I can gift you... So this is just........" She paused as she got overwhelmed by all the emotions.

"Oh Avni...." Dadi said and immediately hugged her.

"Humm... Ok.... Let's see what it is..." She said and started unwrapping the gift.

As she saw what's inside, tears rolled down from her eyes looking at it. It was a Photophrame which has a beautiful picture of her with Vikrant and Sam. They were looking so happy together.

"Avni...." She just whispered getting ashtonished.

"Did you like it?" Avni asked.

"It's beautiful... Me with my Vicky and Sam. This is the first picture where we are together as a family. Oh Avni....Thank you... Thank you so much.... This is the best gift I could've ever get ..." She was mesmerized.

"But this picture.,how and when? I mean....." But before Dadi could complete her sentence, Avni answered.

"That day...when we went out for the dinner. You were looking so happy that I couldn't control myself and secretly clicked this picture...." She told her.

"This is beautiful..." Dadi again exclaimed.

"Yes it is... There is only one thing missing here....." Avni said and dadi looked at her in confusion.

"Your dearest grandson's wife...." She explained and chuckled.
"But don't worry soon someone would fill this place too. My heart is telling me soon your wish to see him married is going to be fulfill." She said smiling.

"That would be the greatest day of my life Avni..." Dadi replied while wiping her tears of happiness.

"Avni.... You have no idea how happy you made me today..... This gift and your wishes means a lot.... You know what, you deserve a return gift from me too. Tell me what you want?...." Dadi asked her.

"Oh come on Dadi... It's your birthday not mine....... You have already done so much for me..." She said and encircled her arm around her shoulder.

"Now.... Go and sleep.... I have already disturbed your sleep. Tomorrow is a big day.. We have to do so much work.. After all your would-be brides are coming...." She said and giggled.
