Seeming to have noticed her, the redheaded woman sprung up from her seat.
"Oh good morning! You must be Elara. I have been looking forward to meeting you."
Elara nodded at the beautiful woman and softly replied, "Good morning my lady. Yes my name is Elara and this is my son Cassian."
The woman smiled and waved at Cassian.
"Hello little one. My you look like your father."
She straightened and turned her eyes back to Elara. "I am Maximillian Calypse and these are my sons Roem and Triton."
Elara smiled at the beautiful woman and her children.
The older child Triton, was dark complected with silky ebony hair and light gray eyes.
The younger child Roem, was faire complected with red wavy hair and had the same gray eyes as his older brother.
Never had she seen a more beautiful mother with her children. Surely they were the most beautiful family in all of Wedon, maybe even all of the seven kingdoms.
Elara recalled several poems she had once heard about a mage described as a beautiful lady with red hair. The mage in the poems was referred to as the 'Scarlet Lady.'
Her eyes filled with admiration for surly the poems must have been about the beautiful Maximilian Calypse.
A moment later Maximillian extended her hand.
"Please sit and join me Elara."
Elara sat across from Maximillian, and put Cassian on her lap.
"Thank you Lady Calypse for providing my son and I a place to stay last night and...."
Elara glanced down at her beautiful dress then continued, "and for the clothing. I am so great full."
Maximillian smiled, "It is my p-pleasure truly.
I have also set aside some clothing for you and your son to have."
She passed her son Triton some more bread then continued, "I really hope you will feel at home here in Anatol. And if there is anything you may need please let me know."
She kissed her son Roem on the head then continued, "In truth, I am most excited to have your company. You can imagine how it is being the lady of a castle full of knights."
Elara giggled, "indeed."
Maximillian also laughed then put a hand on the table, "After you have had breakfast I was hoping to show you the castle grounds, if that suits."
"Of course my lady I would love to."
"Please Elara call me Maximilian or Max if you wish. My husband calls me Maxi but he is the only that does, so I reserve that one for him."
"Very well Maximillian."
The servants brought out more food out for Elara and Cassian to enjoy.
Both woman made small talk while they fed their children.
Maximillian gently scolded Triton twice for throwing his food on the floor.
A short time after three cats came running into the hall. Immediately the cats went for the dropped food on the ground.
Cassian got very excited and began to clap.
Elara smiled.
He probably missed the cats he use to play with back on the farm.
"You like cats Cassian? We can play with them later how does that sound?" Maximillian sweetly spoke while wiping Triton's hands.
Elara noticed Several knights walk past the dining hall entrance and glance in.
