EMERY POV:

I had been glued to my computer all morning up until Ashton and Luke called me and asked if I would come over and help them with putting some music together and seeing as I haven't heard from Cal all day, and I had no further plans I figured I would pack up Milo and head on over.

We've been sitting here for about 2 hours now, drinking and bullshitting, not actually writing any music. "I love your dog Emery, if he goes missing it wasn't me." Ashton laughs.

I sip on my wine and shake my head, "If he goes missing I will personally kick your ass Ashton."

The boys share a laugh as we watch Milo and Duke running around in the yard. I wasn't sure where Cal was, his car wasn't here but I didn't feel like asking, after all Luke and Ashton wanted me to come over and work on music. I figured it would be rude to ask about Calum in this moment so, I just let it go.

"You realize we have been sitting here for over 2 hours and have yet to talk about anything music related?" I look between the grown men drinking a fancy red wine.

"She's right, we should probably get started on that," Luke pulls out his guitar and note book, flipping it open to a book marked page. "I'm still working on the song you gave me Em, Old Me."

He mentions the song I had given him weeks ago, one that I loved the idea of but could never see myself singing. "What do you have so far instrumental wise?" I had given him the words, it was just left to him to figure out what instruments he wanted and the melody. I trusted that Luke would take great care of the song and make something beautiful out of it, he was good at that.

"Well when you first gave it to me, I was thinking it could be an acoustic but, the more I played around with it the more I didn't really like that idea." I knew he would make the right choice on that one.

"We should figure out the drums next, that would give us a really good idea of the general sound." Ashton nods to Luke.

"You have your drums still set up?" Luke asks.

"Brother, who do I look like? Of course I do!"

We all stand and start to make our way inside when Calum walks in only, it wasn't only him. There was a tall redhead with him and gosh was she beautiful. It felt like I wasn't supposed to know about her because the look I got from Calum was one of those 'oh shit' looks. Luke and Ashton didn't seem phased in fact, Luke was the one who was able to identify her for me.

"Molly!" He lifts his arms up and gives her a warm hug. "How have you been?"

I stand with my hands by my side, no one looking at me but Calum. He looked almost guilty, which was strange. Ashton was the next to greet her with a 'hello' and nice hug as well. Everyone fell silent, looking at me. Was I supposed to know her? Or maybe introduce myself?

"Molly Harper," Her accent was thick like mine, only it sounded prettier. Molly was like your ideal body type, thick where it mattered and thin where it didn't.

"Emery," I met her small manicured hand with mine.

"I know you," she smiles.

Thank god, he must have told her about him and I, whatever it was that we are. "You do?"

"I love your band." She tells me.

I stand straight as a board, looking between her and Calum. There is no way this girl is someone random, they all know her and seemingly pretty well, who was she and what is she to Calum? That was my only question.
