Atalia was a people pleaser. At some point in her life, she would've denied it but as she reached the age where her back started aching (which was very young!), she realised it. Over time, this little obsession of hers was one of the reasons she became an agent. To please her dead family. Though the circumstances were rough, she was glad she decided to go for it just because it was written in a letter for her, by her parents.
Atalia, as we stand in your nursery. Looking at the countless amount of toys and clothes laying in you crib, we realise that our love for is greater than anything. You are being named after your father, Xavier. Though, it may seem weird but for us, it shows the strength and courage you'll bring to our family as your father did. He fought too many battles for us and our country. It will be no surprise to us that you'll make us the proudest parents.

Maybe young Atalia had hallucinated the sentence, "you'll join the army like your dad." But she swore, she had read it a thousand times. Sighing, she picked up her journal and wrote down "hallucinations?" Is that what she'll call it? She thought, obviously very deep in her thoughts cause she gasped out; almost alarmed when Jay said "Good morning". "For God's sake Jay!" She exclaimed.
"My heart almost failed." She spoke out in a rushed and panicked tone, only to have Jay teasing her as he said, "Didn't know that a Code Eleven agent could be this unaware of their surroundings... Maybe I should get you fired." Jay finishes with a smirk. Atalia; who had just caught her breath, almost lost it again by just seeing Jay smirk. After succeeding in trying to catch her breath, she walked up to him; who was now leaning against the doorframe. For Jay, he could not describe the way she just walked. It was probably the most beautiful thing his eyes had ever been blessed with, apart from her obviously. It was this elegant and graceful walk that made her, Agent Alvarez.
The confidence reeked off her body but Jay could see the tiny bit of nervousness in her eyes and that made him almost amused. "Fire me huh?" She asked; once she had reached her destination. "Mhm." He let out; purposely low as he shamelessly checked her out. "So you're blackmailing me now?" He let out a soft chuckle and gave her his complete attention. "If that's what you wanna call it then yes. Why Ms Alvarez, you wanna pay the debt?"
"Well, enlighten me Mr Halstead. How can I pay you back?" Atalia let out a raspy breathe as she suddenly felt nervous all over again. "You." Jay let out without an ounce of hesitation, his voice low and almost sinister as he leaned forward. That were only the words he had said and it had already made her heart beat faster causing her body to tingle but she tried to remain unfazed.
"Me?" She had questioned, trying to act confused. "Don't play with me, Ms Alvarez. You know what I meant." Jay had spoken; his voice still low. She wouldn't lie but this conversation with Jay made her remember the first time, they had made out. The sexual tension. The teasing. The flirting. The feelings she had felt in her body. It was all there and somehow, they both remembered it all too well.
A chuckle escaped Jay's mouth as in a mere second, Atalia had jumped on him and starting kissing him fiercely. "Woah, calm down tiger!" He exclaimed, only to have Atalia glare at him as she replied in a raspy voice, "I'm a needy woman!" As if it could justify that but nevertheless, Jay had gotten used to it. Soon, he had started to return the kisses to her, with his dominant hand grasping her hair, almost pulling on it whilst the other hand; supported her butt. The passionate kisses turned slow and when they fluttered their eyes open, the smile that was etched on each others face was everything. Siempre? He had mouthed to her as she whispered; siempre.
By next week, they would be in Chicago, where lies resurface but for now, for today. They'll act like nothings wrong and live their life; happily in love.
