Chapter 9

Heart Entwined

It has been a while since Lema heard a story told to her by words. She intently pays attention to the elf’s words that was sited opposite her. Her heart beating fast as she imagined the man Tina described. His smoky black eyes, his smooth and golden brown skin, and dark messy hair gave Lema a chill. “He is hot.”

Tina looked at her, interrupted by what she said then her lips let out a grin, “He indeed is.”

Lema was still admiring him, his body and cold eyes. She stared at the blank space like he was there standing in front of her. The story or rather the man really got her. She did not even realize Tina left her. The man was staring right at her eyes too. Is that Lema’s illusion too? Though Lema did not care, she just looked at him. Admire him like she had admired no one.

“Lema!” the voice in her head shouted. Lema pushed it, not wanting to hear anything it says.

“Lema! Get into your senses now!” It instructed with a strong deep voice

sounding like a real one.

“What?” Lema asked. She looked around. No one is around. Tina was gone too.

“Wake up!” the voice shouted, though Lema barely heard it. It is somehow blocked but not by Lema.

“Wait! Wait! Why? I’ m awake!” she shouted back; turning her head trying to find the person who was talking to her.

She turned and was shocked when she saw the man she admired standing in front of her, and it was somehow looked real. She did not utter a single word she just stared at him. They stared at a moment. Her blue eyes looked at his smoky black eyes. She raised her hand to reach his. She grabbed his hand but it passed through hers. He was translucent. Lema can’t touch him. She stood to hug him but she just hugged a space with gas. But then, like a smoke it disappeared as Lema touched him.

“I- I”, she was nearly crying. Tears formed in the side of her eyes.  She knelt down like she lost something really important. How could some fiction story affect her like this? She knew better than to believe some unreal book character. She was holding back her tears. She looked around her hoping to find him somewhere. But she found none. She was heart brokered. Her eyes shifting from left to right looking for some man she admired.

Just then she was about to cry, an image formed in front of her. He knelt down to reach her wet face and wiped her tears. He raised her face to meet his. A smile broke in his dark red lips as he speaks, “Come to me my little princess. You belong to me as I belong to you. Come to me...” his voice was seducing and alluring.

“But Sidhe told me not to” he cut her, “Nonsense!” he shouted. Lema was shocked; her eyes became large. She could see his chest moved up and down as he tried to calm himself.

He said with his calm and attracting voice, “You know better than her. You can’t let her take over control in your life. A fairy is a fairy. You can’t trust them.”

“But she gave me my eyes.”

“Did you think she gave it without any payment? Did you ever think she could take your soul? Fairies are cheaters and liars. That’s why she was vanished. She’s no innocent like you think. Now, come. Come to me my princess before it’s too late.” The man vanished, and a familiar voice came substituting it.
