Cassidy's P.O.V:

After fully reading the message and taking it in all the way, we finally spoke again.

"So... we're gonna be here for a while then?" I stated as a slight question, even though I fully knew the answer by now. "Yeah, guess so.." Olivia trailed off, looking down to the floor. "I guess we should just finish those cookies for now." She said nodding toward the supplies. "Only if you keep showing me how." I said lighting the mood a bit, while also wanting to ensure that she would hold me again. "For sure, let's get back to it." She finished, opening her arm up a bit, like she wanted me to fall into it.

Fall I did as my body instinctively slid into her delicate arms and they went around me again to continue making the cookies. I figured I should point out the absurdity of her needing to hold me in order to show me how to make cookies just to tease her. "The embrace is really helping me learn better."

"I don't need to hold you like this." She said in a way I took as a threat. "Just leave it if you don't wanna be held." She added making me think for a second before blushing and settling into my spot. I then pick up the first ingredient, ready to begin.

The thought of her knowing I decided to stay in her arms because I wanted to be in them made my heart beat 2 times as fast, but could also feel the same quick beat pattern against my back.

The night hazed over us before I could realized. I didn't even notice how long it had been since we started the cookies and it was already 8:00pm.

"Yup, they look just about done." She said turning off the oven, as well as the burner that the pasta sat on. "Mmm it's gonna be a good ass dinner. I looove pasta." I say drooling as I stir it around a bit more. "Yeah, I've heard. Pretty hard to miss."

"It's just nice to have someone know what I like. I don't have to worry about if I'll like the food or not. Especially with your cooking, you could make me like anything with enough magic." I continue my praise chorus in her name, as she bats me away with the potholder. "Just shut up, drain the pasta already." She said making sure I couldn't see her face, but if I had to guess, she's definitely blushing. In my opinion at least.

I listened to her and started draining the newly expanded wheats of goodness.

We both avoided contact for a moment as we did our tasks, until we met again at the counter with our dishes in front of us. "Thanks for the help today." She said looking off to the side a bit.

"...I mean yeah, for sure. Why wouldn't I help prepare it, I'm here with you plus I want help. It's a win win remember?" I say slightly confused at the new thanks she threw my way. "No, I mean for everything today. The boxes, coming all the way out here with me to unload them, and.. now you're stuck all the way out here with me, and it's all my fault." She seemed pretty dejected, which made me furrow up. "Seriously? This isn't your fault at all Olivia. I wanted to come help you, how could you have known we'd get stuck right here and now?"

The expression she held lightened up slightly, but she still had guilt written all over it.

"I don't know, but I knew the weather was getting worse, I shouldn't have even taken the chance. What's your mom gonna think about it? You told her you were coming with me right?" She questioned expecting a yes, but in fact the answer was a no. "Well, she just thinks I went to Wendy's place so.." I shrug as I pick up my plate I had been preparing as we spoke.

She follows me to the small table as we sit across from each other. "I guess.. it's fine then. I don't like the idea of lying to her but.. if it's necessary I guess." She said biting the inside of her cheek nervously.
