Cassidy's P.O.V:

The first thing in the morning we woke up to was something we were thankful for, while also somewhat dreading. The pitter patter on the windows ceased to a small trickle. This made us just up and run down to turn on the news.

It's officially safe to leave your homes. A young man who was recently identified as being 16 year old high schooler Adam Davis; has somehow averted the storm that seemed to only be growing worse every day until he stepped in. Thanks to him we can all continue our daily lives and go back to business as usual.

We embraced each other in celebration as the woman on tv continued speaking in the background.
"It's gonna be okay now. No worrying about if we'll have enough food. And no more isolation.." she uttered into my neck, seeming happy yet uneasy. "I know" I speak, "I'm sad we can't live like this anymore, but it's ok. Nothing changes."

I feel her adorable head wobble as she moves to look me in the eyes.

"Let's get out there and conquer the world together then." She eloquently says before delicately wrapping her arms around my aloof head. I join her bright smile before rolling her over on the couch and attacking her without a care.

~~~
"So this is really goodbye to this place huh?" I say looking out the car window onto the small apartment we spent our month in together.
"Just for now. We could always come back any time.. if you want." She mumbles the final words and I let a giggle trickle out. "Of course I'd love to come back. It's a special location to us now. Our first time together.. like this." I finish looking to her on the driver's side, and slipping our fingers together.
For a while we just sat in the driveway in a hazy comfortable silence before she finally shifts it into drive and sends us on our way, back down that long road home.
This time I let the radio hum peacefully with some of my favorite songs on spodify as we jammed our way back.
"Wow, I gotta say you honestly put on some great stuff Cass. Some things I used to listen to at your age, and newer stuff I'm beginning to love." She praised me with awe as one of my favorite Hail the Sun songs ended. "You've already got a great ear for music." She adds, slightly brushing against my ear with her free hand.
"Thanks" I blush from her words and touch. "I like to think the stuff I like is good, but I can't help but love it either way. I love what I love." I shrug, soon also realizing the other connotation those words held. "And what I definitely love, is you my Liv."
My hand locked with hers again which was still hovering by my pink ear.
"Never forget I love you." She repeats.
"You know I won't." I assure with a tight squeeze of all her little fingers. "The idea is laughable."
With those final thoughts, we continued down the highway in more of that wonderful silence before arriving back home. Luckily Daisy had texted her before we left saying that she would be out when Olivia got home, so we wouldn't get caught together. Nonetheless, just as we rounded the corner of our street I felt a jolt of panic. Now I have to leave the car and her, actually going inside my house.. No wonder Daisy can never leave my place.
"Oh no." I utter unconsciously, gaining her attention. "It's okay love, I know how you're feeling. It'll be fine. We can see each other tomorrow and everything will be ok. OK?" She grasps my wrist that was making circles on the armrest, holding it in place softly.
"I know I know.. I just can't stand it still." My lips whisper as the front wheels lump over into the wet driveway.
She shifts the car into park, right where we started this entire journey, before adding, "Yeah.. I can't stand it either. It's just how it is I guess." Her defeated look gave the same anguish I felt, only adding onto my own.
