Liam POV:
This morning was one of the few mornings I woke up in an empty bed. There were no naked women to push off of my own naked body. There were no women to avoid. It was just me, laying in this cold bed alone.
I finally got out of my bed and decided to get started with my day. Any minute now, Avery will knock on my door to tell me to come downstairs for breakfast with the King and Queen. Today is the day of the annual Avalon Alliance Ball. In about eleven hours or so I'll have to socialize with every kingdom we've ever had an alliance with, Balemont included. I have to be sure to socialize with them the most otherwise my mother's going to tear me a new one.
I took a shower and stepped out, grabbing my towel and wrapping it around my waist. As I was brushing my teeth I heard a knock at my door. With my toothbrush in my mouth and in only a towel, I walked over to my door and opened it.
It was Avery, like I expected. He had a black Garment bag in his hand, most likely what I'm expected to wear to the ball tonight. "Good morning, Your Highness. Breakfast has been served, The royal family are awaiting your arrival."
I nodded, taking the bag. I watched as he bowed before leaving. I close the door and threw the bag on my unmade bed.
I walked in the bathroom and continued getting ready. I finished brushing my teeth and went in my closet and grabbed a pair of black briefs. I put those on and grabbed a pair of khaki slacks. I wore a white button down shirt which was tucked into the pants and a brown sweater vest. I put on my socks and designer brown wing tip dress shoes. I grabbed a brown watch, which I put on as I made my way to my nightstand. I grabbed my phone and wallet before making my way downstairs.
I went to the dining room and found my family, my brother included, sitting at the table. I sat across from my brother and his wife. My parents both sat at the heads of the table. The seat on my right was empty and cold. It would be collecting dust by now if the maids didn't clean the palace from top to bottom daily.
The seat next to me is where my wife was supposed to sit, but seeing as I don't have one and definitely won't be having one any time soon.
"Good morning." I greeted.
"Good morning, son." My father spoke. "How'd you sleep?"
I smiled. "Like a log."
"Are you excited for the ball tonight?" My mom asked as a sever placed food in front of her before moving to Princess Olivia.
"I'm so excited I can't contain it." I said in obviously fake excitement. My brother snorted at my comment causing my mother to glare at him.
The sever placed a plate of food in front of me. I grabbed a napkin from the table and placed it neatly on my lap. My breakfast consisted of a bowl of assorted fruits, A butter cream bagel, and two hard boiled eggs.
