My mom knocks on the door, so we can come and eat dinner with the Taylor's. she brought just a simple salad and bread sticks. Of course we had to dress up all pretty and shit like that.
I'm wearing a black dress with my red converse. my mom is wearing a red dress with her simple black shoes.
Finally what felt like an hour, a women opened the door. She was pretty short she had black hair she was really pretty. she was wearing a black dress also, but mine was shorter.
"Welcome, I'm so glad you made it." she says.
Time to put on my fake smile.
"It is so nice to finally meet you." my mom shakes her hand.
"I'm Tracey and this is my daughter Alex." I shake the lady's hand.
" I'm Lisa."
A girl walks towards us she looks a lot like Lisa it's probably her daughter.
"This is my daughter Jess and you know my son Brennen."
he stands by her looking at me and smiling, I look away.
"Let's go and eat" she said.
Brennen sat across from me and so did his mother the sister, Jess.
" So Brennen do you have any hobbies." my mom starts the conversation.
" Um I watch Netflix." he smiles.
I laugh at his statement.
" Alex do you have any hobbies." Lisa asks.
" I sing mostly." I say taking a drink.
" You should sing something for us." Brennen says, I think he is trying to be sarcastic.
"I'll pass."
He winks at me AGAIN.
"So what brought you guys down here." she asks.
Me and my mom look at each other.
"We just wanted a clean start, we needed something new."
" LA is perfect for that."
"So Alex are you going to be at Metro high school?"
"Yep" I say nodding my head
"That's the school they go to, maybe you could have Brennen show you around." I look up at him.
"Maybe." I raise my eye brows.
After we were done with dinner Lisa and my mother went off somewhere, I was sitting outside looking at the stars.
"Do you like looking at the stars." Brennen said behind me.
" yeah, I find myself looking at the stars every night." I chuckle.
He came and sat by me.
" If people sat outside and looked at the stars every night, I'll bet they'd live life a lot differently." I nod and smile at his comment.
" Hell yes they would." I said still keeping my eyes on the stars.
"Stars are so simple yet so beautiful." I say.
"Well there is beauty in simplicity." I look at him.
"I like you! You wanna know why?" I say moving
Closer to him
"Why is that?." He asks.
" You see the world a whole lot differently, I like that." I laugh.
" And you make me laugh which is very hard to come by." he chuckles.
Well looks like we are both surprising each other
......
