The New Beginning / Brennen Taylor

Chapter 20

Me and Brennen were in science. He sat 5 seats behind me I sat by a guy name John. He doesn't really talk to me, but he always looks at me.

" okay class go to your labs there will be names and it will tell you who will be partners."

I went to the paper and I was partners with John. I didn't really care it's not like I I had a problem with him.

" okay so I guess we're partners." He said.

" yeah let's go to the table." I smile.

Every time I looked back Brennen was staring at me as if he were my babysitter.

" so do I pour these two together." I ask looking at the two liquids.

" I think so." He shrugs.

" If this goes all over me I blame it on you." We both laugh.

" Your laugh is cute."

" thank you." I blush.

Finally the bell rang. I don't know where Brennen went off too, but I knew I would see him at lunch.

I walked down the hall and heard a bunch of noise outside. Everybody was crowded around in a circle yelling 'Fight'.

I push everyone away and its Brennen! He is beating up John!

" Brennen get the hell away from him." I say pushing him out the way.

Brennen got off of him I helped John up he was a mess. His nose was bloody and he had a bunch of gashes from Brennens punches.

" What are you doing." He asks me as I help John walk to get cleaned up.

" I'm helping him! After I do that I'm going to talk with you!" I say to him.

We went into the bathroom I leaned down and wiped off the blood from his face.

" you don't have to do this." John says.

" I want too. I'm so sorry Brennen did that I will have him apologize to you."

"You don't have to its not like he would mean it."

" I'm sorry."

" don't be. I think I will be okay you can go." He says.

" if you need someone to talk to text me. I'm sorry this happened to you." I say giving him my number.

" Alex " John's says

I turn towards him

" yes?"

" Be careful "

I walk out and walk around trying to find Brennen. I finally see him by my car. I storm over to him he knows I'm angry.

" What the fuck was that!" I yell.

" he was flirting with you in science!" That's his argument?

" are you serious? Last night that fucking slut kissed you right in front of me you don't see me beating her up."

" I'm sorry."

" don't say sorry to me say sorry to him, because you got jealous. We had this argument yesterday."

It was silent.

" why did you hurt him?" I finally ask.

" I just don't like to see guys talk to you and flirt with you."

" what's so bad if a guy talks to me girls talk to you."

" Because I fucking love you Alex, and I'm selfish and I don't want any guy to have you expect me because you complete me." He raises his voice.

" Y-you love me?" I stutter on my words.

" Of course I do."

" I love you too Brennen."
