I shut my front door and drop my bag. I take off my shoes and lay down on my bed. I'm so glad I'm off of work and I would t have work for a whole week! I'm excited that in 2 days it's Christmas! I also love how quite it is.
I heard a slam at the door.
" Alex it's me Brennen." He yells through the house.
Well it was quite.
" I'm in here." I yell laying on my bed.
" Hey." He says walking in sitting on my bed.
" Hey what are you doing here?" I ask.
" So this Christmas your family and my family are going to have Christmas dinner with each other." Oh how fun!
" How did you get that to happen." I laugh.
" Actually it was your mom." He says.
" The last time we all had dinner together is when you moved in." He said.
" I remember that night." I smile.
FLASH BACK
"If people sat outside and looked at the stars every night, I'll bet they'd live life a lot differently." I nod and smile at his comment.
" Hell yes they would." I said still keeping my eyes on the stars.
"Stars are so simple yet so beautiful." I say.
"Well there is beauty in simplicity." I look at him.
"I like you! You wanna know why?" I ask him.
"Why is that?." He asks.
" You see the world a whole lot differently, I like that." I laugh.
" And you make me laugh which is very hard to come by." he chuckles.
"Well I guess I am your first friend." he smirks.
" I guess so. "
FLASH BACK OVER
" my very first friend I made." I chuckle thinking about the past.
" Yeah."
" Alex are you okay? You know I never asked you that when you got pregnant. I never asked you how you were feeling." He explains.
" Honestly I'm so fucking nervous. I act like I can handle this baby and I can raise her, but deep down I feel like I can't do it. I can barley take care of my self Brennen, how will I take care of her." I say not noticing I was crying until he wiped the tears away.
" Hey, I promise you that you will be the best mother in the world because your the best person I've ever met. Your not alone, we can get through this together okay? This isn't just a one person thing it's me and you trying to raise a baby." I smile at what he says and hug him.
" Have you come up with any names yet?" I ask him.
" I really like the name Lux." I like that name it's simple.
" I like that name, Lux Isabelle Smith." I smile.
" Or Lux Isabelle Taylor." He says.
" It's going to be Smith." I tell him.
" why can't it be Taylor?" He defends his self.
" It sounds better with the last name Smith!"
" No it doesn't! " he yells.
" Yes it does!" I yell back.
" I'm leaving I can't handle you right now. I will see you at Christmas dinner." He stomps out.
" Good don't let the door hit you in the ass!" I yell as he slams the door.
It's going to be Smith.
