I just got home from school. It smelt really good in the kitchen I went in there and my home was cooking, she never cooks.
" uh hi mom."I say coming slowly in the kitchen.
" hello sweetie!" She smiles.
" um what's going on."
" my friend is coming over so I'm cooking."
" and what is this friends name?"
" josh. " she says cutting vegetables.
" are you and josh together?"
She sighs.
" we've been together for about 6 months."
" we haven't even lived here for 6 months."
" I know."
" so you basically moved here for him."
She says nothing.
" whatever mom."
" get dressed up and invite Brennen."
" whatever."
" while your at it maybe you should give me your phone."
" no thanks."
" stop with the attitude."
I pull out my phone ignoring her and go outside. I call Brennen and he instantly answers.
" hello beautiful."
" hey Brennen." I smile.
" what's up."
" I was wondering if you wanted to come over for dinner, my mom is having her boy friend come over and I didn't want to be the third wheel. And I miss you.
" I didn't know she had a boyfriend."
" yeah I didn't either." I roll my eyes.
" well I will be there."
" great. Dress up and dinner will be done at 6:30."
" okay"
