Chapter 39

Me and Jake have been going out for 2 months. I really love him, but Brennen really doesn't. I keep trying to tell both of them to get along, but they don't listen. Lux is 3 months old she is getting so big, Lux and Brennen are so close, Brennen really does love his daughter.

" Hey baby." Jake says kissing my cheek.

" Hey Jake." I smile.

" What are we doing today?" He asked getting some coffee.

" I don't know, Brennen is coming over to drop off Lux." I say getting getting off the couch.

" He better make it  fast." He rolls his eyes.

" Hey be nice." I say rubbing on his bare skin.

He rolls his eyes.

" Please baby." I say rubbing down on his six pack.

" For you baby." He smiles kissing me.

" I love you." I say, as our lips are close together.

" I love you too baby." He tells me kissing me again.

" Is anyone home." Brennen yells.

" Do you not know how to knock?" Jake yells at him.

" Yeah I do, but I don't want to." Brennen says walking in with Lux.

" How was Lux?" I ask taking her.

" Can we talk?" He asked.

Something is wrong.

" Alone."

" Uh yeah, I guess." We walked outside.

" What's up?" He asked me.

" So You know my dad lives in New York." I nod.

" Alex m-my dad he is in the hospital, he has cancer." He says tears running down his face.

" Oh my god Brennen I'm so sorry."

" They caught it to late. They said he doesn't have that long and I have to go see him." He tells me.

" Of course go see him." I say.

" I want to take Lux I know she is little, but Alex he hasn't seen her I want him to at least see his granddaughter before he dies."

I sigh.

" Brennen."

" Please." He begs.

" When would you be leaving?"

" Tonight."

Tonight!

" How long?"

" I don't know."

" Can I talk about it with Jake and I can call you when I've made my decision."

" Why should it be his decision when it's our kid."

"  Fine Brennen take Lux, but if anything happens to her I swear I will kill you!"  I threaten.

" Nothing will happen I promise."

" Come get her at 5:30 I will pack her stuff." I say walking away and shutting the door.

" What did he want to talk to you about?" He asks me.

" Lux is going to New York tonight. "

" Wait what!"

" I know it's crazy, but his dad is dying he wants him to meet his granddaughter." I explain to him.

" Well that just Gives us you and me time." He says, his hands on my waist.

" Guess it does." I smile.

I pick up lux and go into her room. I grab everything she needs to go to New York. I can't believe I'm doing this, I can't believe my baby is leaving me.
